I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 05/10/2007 12:28

fred: just realised what time it is. What did doc say about dd3?

Dropdeadfred · 05/10/2007 12:48

Poor dd3 has terribly infected tonsils so she is on penicillin 4 times a day...

Squonk - a friend was going to be coming with me but cried off yesterday..as she remembered she had to be somewhere else. She wanted ne to cancel and do it another day but I decided to just go...I think dd2 may come with me.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 05/10/2007 12:50

poor dd3

should be a nice day for you and dd2. What about dd1 or is that a silly question?

Dropdeadfred · 05/10/2007 13:08

Not a silly question squonk - she would love to come with me, and I probably will go another time with her so she doesn't feel left out.
This weekend she is staying with a friend as her mother is an illustrator and wants dd1 to model for her for a story line she is illustrating.
DD1 is happy cos the money is good!! And I'm happy cos she will stop nagging for extra money for a week or two!

marmitemad · 05/10/2007 13:11

Fred - poor dd3.

dd is still pooing and vomiting copiously and I feel sick and headachy now as well. Our appointment is not until 16:10 .

Echoing what Squonk said about the dress shopping, that you should leave if they are not nice. Do you have any idea about styles already? Its a good idea to take a camera and get dd2 to take pics of you. I remember going into the first shop with a picture from a magazine and having doubts with it on but seeing a photo later confirmed it was not right for me although funnily I ended up with a similar dress which I nearly didn't try on as it was so close to the first one, but I knew it was right for me withput seeing a photo. Hope you have fun.

SQuonk - did you get your wedge basket thing?

OP posts:
DoctorFrankenSquonk · 05/10/2007 13:26

yep, it came, but I haven't had a chance to actually use it yet - we've not been anywhere to push the pushchair!

good idea about taking photos, marmite. As long as you hide them from dp of course! (and email them to each of us so we can give you the benefit of our nosiness experience)

Dropdeadfred · 05/10/2007 14:32

Marmite - sorry your poor baby is poorly too - it's rotten isn't it and the only thting that is worse is when you're poorly too!

Squonk - try the wedge try the wedge!!

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 05/10/2007 14:53

will try the wedge tomorrow - off to a fair tomorrow so will deffo have the zapp out

Have fixed buggy board as well - actually dp fixed it and I think it is welded on, but hey ho!

Sending get well soon vibes to everyones little poorly girls

marmitemad · 06/10/2007 18:53

dr checked out dd and advised non specific d & v bug, said she wasn't dehydrated and to bring in a sample if still going on Monday (I really hope not).

more violent choking vomit and I am so sick of changing nappies. dh decided he was poorly as well while we were in Tesco's last night so came home and went straight to bed leaving me to unpack and feed dd.

I think we each managed about 2 hours broken sleep and have not left the house today . dd is whimpering a lot (as though in pain) so have given in to Nurofen/Calpol dosing but she did eat some lunch and dinner although I'm not sure how long she will keep it in??

How was the dress shopping and the fair?

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 06/10/2007 21:56

Hi Marmite - so sorry to hear your dd is so porrly.
Dress shopping was weird - I didn't find 'the one'.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 08/10/2007 08:16

oh marmite, your poor little baby

How is she today? Have you packed dh off to work with his manflu? (you can't have anything, can you!)

marmitemad · 08/10/2007 09:24

well I think she is a little better, still grumpy but poo texture is improving although still frequent and explosive. Have got a sample to take into drs this morning (yuck).

am not sure whether to take dd to cm this afternoon for her trial session? will ring cm in a mo and let her decide.

dh has made an effort this weekend despite feeling rough (he finally fixed the washing machine) and we have had a really lazy weekend, not going anywhere or seeing anybody which in a way has been nice as sometimes we seem to spend all weekend rushing around.

I think I ended up going to 4 shops with various people before I found my wedding dress.

OP posts:
DoctorFrankenSquonk · 08/10/2007 12:45

marmite: glad dd seems a bit better. What did you decide re: cm?

Dropdeadfred · 08/10/2007 15:51

Hi girls...i looked like a sack of spuds in the dresses i tried on...

Hope dd is better Marmite, hows the car Squonk?

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 08/10/2007 15:53

fred: all that means is that you haven't found the right dress. Don't get disheartened, it is out there.

Car is fab. Every day I find something new that it can do. (yesterday I discovered that it has a parking light - how's that for sophistication!)

How's your dd3? any better?

marmitemad · 08/10/2007 16:25

cm texted to say she preferred to not have dd so went to meet my sister for lunch in wimpy where I discovered the tips of TWO BOTTOM TEETH in dds mouth!! not sure if they have been the cause of all the illness but had already taken sample into drs so we shall see. still got diarrohea and is quite grumpy though.

have also been shopping looking for work trousers as my old ones don't fit. ended up buying 2 pairs work trousers, 1 casual pair, 1 top and a pair of shoes, oops, hope to take some back as I haven't tried them on yet.

the right dress will make you feel and look fabulous, you just need to try on all different styles.

OP posts:
DoctorFrankenSquonk · 08/10/2007 18:29

marmite - one of mine had horrendous tummy bug type symptoms every time they were teething (can't believe I can't remember which one ) so you may find that she gets totally better now the teeth have come through.

Dropdeadfred · 08/10/2007 20:44

DD3 had runny nappies whilst teething, and ear ache that made her miserable. And earache is apparently worse for them whilst laying down.

dd3 is a bit better thanks, her nose and eyes are much better but she's still very quiet and easily upset. She slept for 15 hrs last night!!!

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 09/10/2007 10:32

hopefully, everyone's babies are on the mend now.

I have an ear infection and a cold. I feel poo.

Hope the weather's better for egg on holiday than the pissing chucking down rain here

marmitemad · 11/10/2007 09:36

nappies seem to be improving here although dd is still not the happy, chatty baby she used to be.

Had a busy few days with routine xrays/ultrasounds at hospital for me and visiting my friend in Stevenage yesterday and I just found out that my FIL made the tumblyboo house for In the night garden. He made it around 3 years ago and told us it was for for the teletubbies but dh finally watched it yesterday and realised he got it wrong. what a shame he didn't get paid in free toys .

was hoping to go and see the new colin firth film on sat as my friend is mad about him but it doesn't seem to be on anywhere .

sorry to hear about the ear infection and cold, Squonk.

at least its not raining atm, Tuesday was a horrible, horrible day.

OP posts:
marmitemad · 11/10/2007 22:04

where is everyone, hope you are all feeling better???????????

beautiful day here, went swimming where dd screamed a lot, to pub with MIL (dd behaved perfectly) and then walked to park.

dh is out for work event so have have large glass of wine and been playing on MN/ebay/facebook for ages , oops ought to go and wash up after my apple crumble dinner (dh didn't tell me he was going out until 5:30pm, so I had to eat the whole thing )

OP posts:
DoctorFrankenSquonk · 12/10/2007 13:35
