Think I'll give the gardening a miss today........Neither cat seems bothered about going out in this wind, ScaredyCat is snuggled up with me.

Evening. Very cold here, we went for a walk round the block and I couldn't wait to get back.

We're useless with the clocks. Some have been done and some haven't so we don't really know where we are.

A bit of medical humour

Evening. Today was spent cooking, then we had out very own Day of the Chainsaw and lopped about 10 foot off a tree at the front of the house, which was headbanging all over the wires (not sure if telephone or electric) during this years storms. It's back down to a manageable size (10 foot?) and the bonfire is a towering monstrosity.

DS is knackered and very grumpy as a result, which reminds me, I need to go and do lights out...

Wicked. Hope she doesn’t do it again.

Have not really done very much today - did go out for a walk, bugger me it was windy. FancyCat has wisely not even contemplated going outside - she could hear it howling outside & has spent the day sleeping, eating & sitting on me.

Not very exciting with the chainsaw - I can't start it - can't pull the cord hard enough I expect there's a technique which I have yet to master. Or I just don't want to dislocate my shoulder trying.

Just watched the first episode of Westworld S3. we'll stick with it for now and see where they're going. It was one of those episodes where they're obviously getting the new series set up and stuff, so you just watching a lot of it feeling bewildered....

Morning all. Not sure what the weather is going to do today - it was mostly nice when I got up, and since then there have been some filthy clouds coming over looking like they want to repeat yesterday's random hailstones. Oh well. I'll be glued to the computer/hoping that DS has a good day with the schoolwork (he was an utter grotbag last night).

DH woke up at about 4am and announced that he really didn't feel very well. Then he clarified that he felt like he had a hangover and actually maybe he did have a hangover because he probably drank enough for that last night My sympathy/worry levels are on hold for now...

Afternoon. Gardening doesn't feel very appealing today, however DS wants to rearrange his room and tidy it up a bit, so I will assist with that. He needs to actually wake up first though

DH has been doing some gardening, the pampas has been demolished as it was very battered during the recent winds. It's amazing how quickly it grows back.

Too cold for me to assist, although we did go on our walk around the block.

Evening. MrHelen seems ok. He says he doesn't feel quite right, but nothing specific, so . I specifically have a headache.

My washing went on 1st thing, and then I forgot but it, so by the time I got it out on the line, it got to 90% dry and then it rained. FFS etc.

We're watching University Challenge. I've got 2/3 of the music bonus questions. Or maybe 1/3. I forget - it was about 5minutes ago after all. #MemoryOfGoldfish.

Along with feeding livestock etc, the morning routine now involves shunting seedlings out onto the patio to stop them stretching. They were going into the greenhouse but something mouse/slug nipped off half a dozen runner beans, so now they're staying in the house. Anyway, this is how I find myself singing that well know Prince song in the mornings - Little Red Courgette which is of course a bit inaccurate, because we have green ones, and yellow ones, but not red ones. And ^Little Red Sunflower" w(which is more accurate) doesn't have the same effect.

Hope all wenches are safe and well and enjoying sunshine and no wind (yet).

We have another day work work and school here...

DH is off today so he said he’ll assist DS2 with schoolwork and makes sure he does what he’s supposed to. Ahahahahahaha!

Hope Apricot’s walk isn’t as cold today and Wicked doesn’t have any extra cleaning to do.

at seedlings stretching. Sounds a bit like DH's wonderful idea the other day. I found an old thermometer which I had when the DC were little and didn't know if it still worked. It did but DH said he'd put it under the hot tap to exercise the mercury. Yep, it broke.

I received a driving licence renewal form today. Seems a bit unnecessary at the moment when I don't know when I'll next drive the car.

Either the heating has broken at work or they’ve switched it off. Either way, I was quite chilly today.

Got messages from DH today saying DS2 had done his maths and his diary entry and something else that had only just come through (which therefore wasn’t on today’s list (nto) and didn’t need to be done) so wasn’t this all marvellous and very much giving the impression that there’s no need to make a fuss. However, has DS2 done the two most involved pieces of work which were on the list (nto) which would have best been done in the morning and which need to be submitted first? No, no he has not. So he’s doing them now. You know, when he’s getting tired and I’m knackered too. FFAS.

DH did however make himself and exercise plan and did said exercises so that’s super.

Exercising the mercury? Am now picturing a thermometer with a little sweatband on it.
