Emergency new thread, with suitable decorations.
Fill your boots...

Grubby HBFs in leather are in our imaginations residence.
Sense of humour required, and tolerance for domestic tedium.

Am home, am whacked.

Hot bath and hayloft time for me...

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 03/11/2019 21:32

How can it be Monday tomorrow already? Halloween Confused

LetUsPrey · 04/11/2019 07:42

Morning wenches.

Oo-er at being whacked Helen!

Monday does come around very quickly Wicked. Having said that, I’m not working today. I don’t even care that it’s raining.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/11/2019 07:48

It's dreich and dreary and trying to rain outside. I have packed DS off to school and I'm going back to bed mucking about online with a cat on my lap.

'whacked' was TotallyNotAEuphamism LetUs - was far too tired for that. I I ache all over today despite hot bath and stretching. This 'healthy sports and exercise' thing is clearly bad for you.

Hope everyone had a good day, despite the weather!

FancyFancy · 04/11/2019 09:05

Morning

A nice walk would loosen you up helen Grin

Another dentist appointment this morning - hopefully the last one. Right, must get moving and also kick DS out of bed laters

ApricotCrush · 04/11/2019 18:15

Evening. Damp and miserable here too. I put some washing out this morning and it was just as wet when I brought it in. Hmm

Hope dentist and smear test went well.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 04/11/2019 19:07

Got the invoice from the plummer, think I need to get a second job Confused

The balcony guys was here today, so hopefully it won't leak again.

LetUsPrey · 04/11/2019 21:40

Evening wenches.

Drizzly and bleurgh here all day today too.

Hope dentist went well Fancy and that’s done now.

Massage was fab, smear test not fab but okay.

Fingers crossed balcony’s sorted Wicked.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/11/2019 22:37

Evening. We have had a mini-binge of Good Omens this evening which was fun, and has involved a late night for DS because we're responsible parents like that and like to be sure he's not tired for school Hmm

Hasn't been too bad here with the weather - a bit of rain this morning, but otherwise it was dry and not too cold. Though I didn't get any washing done. Did tidying though. I really don't know how we cope with the excitement of our lives... I also didn't go for a walk Fancy Grin But I did actually go back to bed for a snooze after DS went to school. (Then woke up feeling very groggy, but still - extra duvet time!)

Seeing as it's back to BoringOfficeJob tomorrow, I ought to get a relatively early night. Or just pile up more hay in the hayloft and hide there with LetUs - no-one will be able to find us apart from wenches and HBFs. Result.

Hope Fancy's tooth has been fixed properly this time, and that Wicked isn't bankrupt. Sad

Morning wenches. We’re responsible with DS2 like that Helen with football on the tv.

Raining again.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2019 07:53

Morning all.

It's actually rather nice here - misty morning clearing over to mostly blue sky. Very autumnal. Still though, I would rather not have to get up and adult.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 05/11/2019 08:25

Morning. Tooth ok so far - haven't eaten on that side of the mouth yet though Grin

Very autumnal here - not a bad day to be inside. Is anyone watching His Dark Materials?

ApricotCrush · 05/11/2019 16:13

Afternoon. So dark and dismal here, very depressing.

We've got His Dark Materials recorded but haven't started it yet Fancy. Don't know whether it's my sort of thing, but will give it a try.

We're still watching Dublin Murders, but it's gone very weird. Hmm

ApricotCrush · 05/11/2019 18:27

Oh Helen and any other wench who's interested, if you've got Virgin Media The Souvenir is on Virgin Movies on Demand. It's £4.99 for 48 hours.

LetUsPrey · 05/11/2019 20:50

Evening wenches.

I’m very much enjoying your location spotting Apricot!

We watched His Dark Materials. Bloody loved it. FriendAtWork - who isn’t usually into that sort of programme - watched it and really liked it too. We’ve still only done one episode of Dublin Murders.

Fingers crossed for tooth continuing to behave Fancy.

Felt like it started going dark at about 2pm today.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2019 21:37

Evening. The 'nice' morning here turned into a dark, dreary and damp day very rapidly. Sad

We also have Dark Materials recorded - will probably watch it when we have everyone in one room at the same time. It's getting very good reviews, and a wench endorsement, so obviously worth watching Grin

I don't have virgin media apricot - but I believe that it's out on DVD now as well. I think I saw that on twitter. I might be wrong of course.

Am currently waiting for a late tea because I wanted stew, so its bubbling away for as long as possible to get the meat nice and tender. Have just put the spuds on. Have I bored you all mindless yet?

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 05/11/2019 21:57

Mmmm stew with the meat all tender

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2019 22:04

It will be better tomorrow, but it will do for tonight

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 05/11/2019 22:37

Something that can’t be said about HBFs. They’re better whatever the time.

Hayloft time where I shall prove my point.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2019 22:39

Good plan. I'll do likewise, once I've loaded the dishwasher located Athos and dragged him along with me.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 05/11/2019 23:55

So true letus
I've nearly caught up with World on Fire so will keep an eye out for that apricot. Still haven't started the Capture.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/11/2019 08:00

Morning. I am having a run of bonkers dreams (with incidental FAF!) that are so complicated that I'm not even going to try and summarise them. However, last night's effort had fabulous twist at the end of it... I had to fill in a feedback form/quiz about my dream - e.g. "Did you stay in Peter's House? Yes/No"
I have no idea if this is my subconscious' way of trying to make me remember them so I can share the WTF-ness of it all, but that one did make me grin.

Anyway, that's all. We have sunshine this morning and it's chilly. I am off to BpringOfficeJob while I can still get there in time to get a parking space.

Have a good day all.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 06/11/2019 08:06

Morning wenches.

Not started The Capture either Fancy.

Grin at feedback forms Helen. I was going to a comedy club but the show started late and we had to leave so missed most of it. There were also lots of pelican crossings and at one point I was on a train which became a big boat with my niece.

Dreary here. Running a bit behind too.

ApricotCrush · 06/11/2019 16:08

Afternoon wenches. Still very dreary here.

Yes, The Souvenir DVD is out Helen. I may leave it for someone to get me for Christmas. You can tell which reviews were written by the obsessive fans.

Grin at weird dreams and having to leave feedback. Mine are quite disturbing sometimes. Confused

Went to the GP this morning for a medication review and had the flu jab whilst I was there. Cleaned the inside of the car when I got back as it's in for an MOT next week. Not that that will pass it but it looks better. DH can clean the outside.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/11/2019 20:20

I think we have recorded 'The Capture'. But we haven't got close to watching it. Currently watching what seems to be a new version of Scooy Doo - it's dire.

LOL at some of those reviews apricot - unsurprisingly, it looks a bit of a 'marmite' film.
"The most pretentious twaddle I've ever had the misfortune to sit through - utterly unlikeable characters, no storyline, a total waste of some of Britain's best acting talent. Don't buy it - doing your tax return would be more enjoyable!" - vs - "Phenomenal film that was beautifully shot throughout. The characters were developed beautifully and the story captivating."
