It;s a bit windy here. If everyone opens a nice large umbrella and holds on tight maybe the windy will blow you here and we can have a meet-up. January seems far too far away

I was trying to have a lie-in but stupid cat was being an arse. So stupid Cat is now shut down stairs and I am back in bed. I need new glasses (it's a bit hard to read this screen and I think these glasses are old ones that aren't the right strength.) I have put a load of washing on (whoo!) but obviously that will take a while and there's no other housework or anything to be done in the meantime, And I can't go out to pick the windfalls up because then I wouldn't hear the doorbell when you all arrive on your umbrellas. So I shall have to stay in bed for a while longer.

I have been out and picked 5 crates of windfalls. Sadly, none of them fell on passing HBFs and incapacitated them, so it's just me and the apples. And the washing (second load on) and the decaying over-ripe bananas which need to be turned into a cake.

I shall sit here and have lunch while I decide where to start.

Visited mum to check on my winter tyres that I have in her garage, to see if I needed new ones or not. Been a good daughter and helped her put an ad online to sell a table.

It's sunny here too I am a bit tired though - DS barreled in at 2am with a bad dream I was going to wash a throw, what with the sunny weather and all. But Inconvenient Cat is asleep on it, so obvs, I can't move him.

Inconvenient Cat moved (and had a barney with local ginger tom outside) so the throws are in the wash. I have been in the loft finding DS' Buzz Lightyear which he hasn't played with for months. I didn't find any spare HBFs up there. tsk.

We are off shopping tomorrow, followed by dinner - nowhere fancy (nto) but somewhere we bothe like. DS is home for a couple of nights next weekend so we get to celebrate all over again then

LetUsCat was quite feisty. Used to sit at the bottom of the drive and hiss at passing dogs and frighten them.

Been visiting parents and LovelyMIL. Am now knitting whilst DH watches football. Also looking forward to a day off tomorrow

God no - we must never introduce InconvenientCat and FancyCat, what he lacks in actual teeth, he makes up for in size There would be blood...

LOL at HBI. My equivalent yesterday told me he wanted to talk about my hips - apparently they are moving too much ("No such thing" says DH )
I thitnk the actual conversationwas along the lines of:
instructor: "What are your heips doing?"
Me: "No idea"
Him: "Go again and tell me what they're doing."
Me: "Nope, no idea. They connect my legs and body."
Him: "Not going to tell you, you have to work it out..."
Fortunately I out-stubborned him and he eventually told me so I could concentrate on what they should have been doing. Don't think it helped much though.

Need to go and check tea. Hurrah for a day off tomorrow LetUs
