Emergency new thread, with suitable decorations.
Fill your boots...

Grubby HBFs in leather are in our imaginations residence.

Evening wenches.

Hope you’ve had a fab day Fancy

Have had quite a good day here. Ran a few errands, pottered about the house, got the ironing done, watched tv and am now knitting. Shame it’s back to work tomorrow.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/10/2019 18:39

That sounds wonderfully civilised LetUs
I'm not sure what I've done - worked and mucked about online and got depressed by early nightfall I think... So thoroughly unproductive apart from work. Sad

Evening wenches. We're baaaack!

The caravan was in the middle of a lake when we arrived, and we had to paddle to get to it. It had been raining all week apparently, and as we're near to an estuary, the water table gets pretty high, but I'd never seen it that bad. Saturday it rained all day, but yesterday was sunny so we were able to get things done. Caravan has been put to bed for the winter now.

Have skimmed TFT. Cwtches for wenches feeling a bit down, I'm sure your new neighbour will be fine WW and belated Happy Birthday to MiniFancy.

Well done on collecting those windfalls Helen. We haven't got any fruit trees, but I remember my Mum's house where she had loads of trees and I loved picking them.

What are you knitting LetUs?

Can't remember anything else, but had better go and get something to eat.

LetUsPrey · 28/10/2019 21:08

Hurrah for being back Apricot! Eeeek at caravan in a lake though Shock. Good that you’ve got it all sorted.

I’m knitting a hat for DS2 which no doubt he will only be prepared to wear in the back garden in the winter

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/10/2019 22:34

Apricot!!!!! I'm having visions of some wierd Arthurian vibe - never mind the sword coming out of the lake - you have a caravan! Feel free to come and pick windfalls Grin

On that note, I'm off to the hayloft where I shall wait for Athos to appear with his sword

Morning wenches.

DS2 is proving yet again that he is very much not a morning person.

Very frosty again here. So I think the best thing is for wenches to just stay in the Tav and find interesting ways to keep warm.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/10/2019 07:48

Morning. Not so frosty (at all) here today. But I think I should also stay in the tav and keep warm - no?

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 29/10/2019 08:01

Absolutely Helen. Absobloodylutely.

FancyFancy · 29/10/2019 08:32

Morning
No frost here either, but I think you have the right idea letus Sadly, I have to go to work

Had a good day yesterday, got some new boots & a lovely new scarf that is soooooo soft. DD is pleased with what she got too and then dinner was very - only a chain restaurant but a very tasty hotter than advertised curry .

Yikes apricot Shock glad everything worked out ok eventually - was it all ok in the caravan?

ApricotCrush · 29/10/2019 18:09

Evening. Very cold here today, but I've managed to get some of the washing done.

LetUs, I'm sure DS2 will love his hat.

Fancy, that sounds like a lovely day. Yes the inside of the caravan was fine, it's pretty high up off the ground.

Grin at Arthurian vibe.

Oh, we were watching World on Fire last night, and they were at Doksany, where the garrison was. I kept shouting 'STOP!' to he who has the tv controller and getting my pics out for comparison. Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/10/2019 20:08

Evening all.

Did you get Doc Martens Fancy? Grin the scarf sounds lovely - I found a really soft one at a shop, but it was also huge, and would have made me feel like I was on my way to a bath chair about 40 years early!

It is very recognisable Apricot? I wonder if the Nuns think that providing a location is a nice little earner, or an intrusive nuisance? (I imagine them peering out at the filming and admiring the FAF - like the Diet Coke advert Grinv)

I had a very boring day at work and then it got dark. Now I a being a cat bed.

Evening wenches.

A successful shopping day followed by delicious food. What a great way to spend the day Fancy.

I am Grin at you shouting STOP Apricot and getting your pics out

Boring work day for me too Helen and then daaaaaarrrrkkkkk.

Didn’t sleep well last night - with special thanks to non-specific anxious thoughts flinging themselves around my brain - so I should try for an early night.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 29/10/2019 21:36

Stressful day here, went to the vet with Fräsan, just for a check up, turned out she might have asthma and she also has to lose weight. She even had to do an x-ray.

Then I had a late shift at an ER and of course I got IT-problems so I couldn't work. The broadband seamed to be ok so I don't know what went wrong. We have no support at that time either.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/10/2019 22:29

Sounds like Frasen went to the ER too! Stupid Cat has an inhaler for when she gets wheezy. She's not in the slightest bit impressed by it.

LetUs - suggest you give your brain something to do, other than whirl around anxiety - put your list in order of preference Grin
(and )

I have a work fuck-up to deal with but I'm not getting any reply from bloody California so there's nothing I can do until tomorrow night. arghhhh.

Hayloft calls. Night all.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 30/10/2019 00:08

Blimey helen that will take letus half the night - it's a long list!

Aw Frasan - hope she's recovered from the vet visit.

Erm, how did you guess helen? Grin?

LetUsPrey · 30/10/2019 07:49

Morning wenches.

I didn’t know cats could have asthma! How on earth do you give a cat an inhaler without losing at least some blood, possibly a finger? Booo to IT issues.

I’ll give that one a try Helen - wonder if it’ll make the hot flushes worse though Grin. Be worth it I think.

It’s sunny here, not frosty, actually looks like it might be a nice day. Aside from the work thing obviously.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/10/2019 07:56

Morning. No overnight response from work-fuck-up so I shall just have to try and ignore it for now.

Ah Fancy - because you are the Queen of the Docs Grin Maybe you should be like the Queen though, and shag Aramis get someone else to break them in for you Grin

Stupid Cat has one of these - www.pet-supermarket.co.uk/Aerokat-Feline-Aerosol-Chamber/p/I9101231? - it feels like I'm doing some sort of mad resuscitation thing when I use it - ER eat your heart out! (The puffer is a normal one that goes it at the far end and 'puffs' into the chamber)

Hope you have a better day Wicked, and everyone else too.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 30/10/2019 08:46

I'm another one who never knew cats could get asthma!

ooh fab idea helen. Especially the Aramis part.

ApricotCrush · 30/10/2019 17:02

Afternoon. Gosh, it's nearly dark and I haven't fetched the washing in. Shock

We had to go and buy a new back-up fridge for the garage this afternoon. I wondered why the milk kept going off. Confused It came with us from our previous house nearly 35 years ago, so we can't complain. We've had three in the kitchen in that time.

Poor Frasen, hope she's ok.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/10/2019 18:41

Oooh - it's bringing back memories Apricot Grin

You know me - I'm full of good ideas Fancy Hmm Stupid Cat only ever had one bad attack and we ended up at the vets - spending lots of money. They did say she should use it regularly but she's not keen so we just use it when she seems to need it (short rapid breaths).

Did LetUs get to work, or is she still putting her list in order. I imagine that she'll need to work through it to be sure they're ranked correctly Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 30/10/2019 19:33

Evening wenches.

I did unfortunately have to take a break for work Helen. Have to give the List a chance to recover Grin Ready to get right back on it though

Shock at Apricot’s long lasting fridge!

I’m rubbish at spotting locations, although I did once spot the Isle of Seil used as a location in Sea of Souls (I think).

I’m sure DS2 had a spacer device like that when he was little in case he needed his inhaler (he didn’t and doesn’t now thankfully). I imagine his reaction would have been similar to a cat.

Just been doing the washing up and Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana came on. Asked Alexa when it was released. 1991!!!! I refuse to work out how long ago that was.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 30/10/2019 19:45

She doesn't have any major issues yet but she needs to lose weight, I need to vacuum more and I bought a new kitty litter that's less dusty. Haven't got the bloodtest results yet but I hope they're fine.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/10/2019 21:51

Fingers crossed the results are all fine wicked

Night all.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 30/10/2019 22:22

Glad there's nothing too serious ww

Ooh good pics apricot - I've started World on Fire now, so will look out for the locations

LetUsPrey · 30/10/2019 22:42

Fingers crossed Wicked

Knitting nearly finished. Just need to sew it up.

Hayloft for me too
