Emergency new thread, with suitable decorations.
Fill your boots...

Grubby HBFs in leather are in our imaginations residence.
Sense of humour required, and tolerance for domestic tedium.

Back home where all the decorations are down and away. I’ve looked around and can’t see that anything’s been missed but give it time.

Pleased to hear the migraine went away Apricot. You’ll just have to find something else to decorate the house with. May I make a suggestion? Grin

That’s good that there were no more crawly things in your clothes Wicked. Oh no indeed at having to go shopping for more rugs Grin

We’re settling down to watch ep3 of Dracula.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/01/2020 22:36

Decorations are also down here now. Though not entirely away because packing the box is my job (#ControlFreak).

How about these decorations for Apricot...?

Oh bloody hell I forgot the decorations. Thank you for rectifying my omission Helen. I shall a good telling off from HBFs.

Finished Dracula. I very much enjoyed it and if I can find a spare 4 hours 30 minutes, I would like to watch it again.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/01/2020 23:32

Red Scharlach has some very entertaining comments on Dracula... Not that I've watched it yet Hmm

Morning. It's dark. That is all. Oh - and the Xmas tree has more needles on the floor than it has attached to it any more.

Just about light enough to go feed the chickens now... laters.

LetUsPrey · 06/01/2020 08:08

Morning wenches.

Had a look at some of those Red Scharlach comments Grin

Watch out for HBFs by the chicken coop Helen - make sure you allow extra time if they’re there

Dark here too. DS1 back at college today so he’s in for a bit of a shock when he has to get up before 11.

FancyFancy · 06/01/2020 11:55

Morning. Did I miss elk?!

Decorations all taken down here. Well, I say that every year. And then find one rogue one lurking somewhere. Can't find one tree decoration, so may look for that today now it's light.

Right, ScaredyCat has finally moved off me, so I should get looking......

ApricotCrush · 06/01/2020 18:09

Evening.

Oh yes Helen, I have to pack the boxes so I know where everything is for next time. Very nice substitute decorations. Grin

We've finished Dracula too. Very good. Will have a look at Red's comments.

We're also watching the Trial of Christine Keeler, which is interesting as we remember it. James Norton's in it.

Elk popped in and said 'YoGrin' on the previous page Fancy.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/01/2020 20:28

HBF decorations - every room should have one (or more) Grin And they're not just decorative

I meant to watch The Trial of Christine Keeler, but will have to do catch-up. We also haven't watched Dracula yet - need DS to go to bed and actually stay there for long enough of an evening. And not so late that I'm just wanting my bed before it starts.

Chicken coop update - no HBFs in sight, FFS and all that.

Anyway - the Christmas Twig has gone out on the bonfire - leaving most of its needles behind it... Therefore, I give you.... ...
The Evolution of a Deconstructed Christmas Tree!

Evening wenches.

You could present that as an art installation Helen.

Have recorded Christine Keeler.

Hopefully the HBFs will decorate my dreams.

DS2 back at school tomorrow and DS1 on his early start so that’ll be fun tomorrow morning Grin

Night all

LetUsPrey · 07/01/2020 07:47

Morning wenches.

Both DC up and ready with no issues, happy as anything and no reminding to get a move on needed. HBFs abound and I’m a stone lighter.

Meanwhile, in RL, DS1 has had to sprint up the street to make sure he doesn’t miss his bus and I practically needed a crowbar to get a grumpy DS2 out of bed.

Took this picture at the Wellcome Collection on Sunday. The exhibit wasn’t quite what I was hoping for Grin

LOL at Wellcome exhibit Grin None of this then?

These last weeks have been a struggle, it's probably my PMT. I stopped my medication about six months ago cause I didn't think they did any good, but maybe they did, I've been extremely low but now that the blob started I'm starting to feel better. Fräsan is a big help.

LetUsPrey · 07/01/2020 11:53

Oh Wicked, it can all be a bit shit sometimes can’t it? Are you going to start the meds again? Extra special cat treats for Frasan.

ApricotCrush · 07/01/2020 17:00

Afternoon. Very dark and miserable here today.

Helen your Christmas tree exhibit is much better than the Wellcome one. Grin

for WW and awww at Fräsan helping.

LetUsPrey · 07/01/2020 20:54

Evening wenches.

Same here Apricot. It’s not terribly pleasant. The shock in DS1’s voice when he set off this morning “but it’s still dark!!” was Grin though.

Have picked LittleSister up from station and am back home to two very unhappy DC as the football is going very badly. I really should do some ironing but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

I shall instead make a Brew and continue with my jigsaw.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/01/2020 22:01

Evening. It's Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark

for Wicked - and HBFs (Kylo - obvs) Maybe it's worth going back on the drugs? Or maybe it's also a combination of the god-awful long dark evenings/nights/mornings as well? (Poor not-so-mini LetUs - what a shock for him!)

Today is DH's 'out of the house from 9am-10:30pm' day, and this is the first time I've sat down - other than to eat. I did also manage half an hour on the stepper for the first time since Christmas, during which I watched 'Elizabeth is Missing' which was really good.

Wine and [jigsaws] all round. With HBFs to help find all the edge pieces Grin

I ought to head for the hayloft so I'm not too tired tomorrow (having been a bit of a zombie today).

Oh - PS - LinkedIn Hmm -of-the-day:

"Wow, your profile is gaining traction!"

.
17 people looked you up in the last 90 days.

I think 'gaining traction' might be a bit of an overstatement.

Night all [gri]

That’s almost the Bed, Bath and Beyond version of AD there Helen Grin

And no, the Being Human exhibit didn’t have anything like that. Just as well, I’d probably have missed my train!

You should not just sit down Helen, you should lie down. Quite possibly on or under an HBF.

I’m off to gain traction with Brandon in the hayloft

FancyFancy · 08/01/2020 00:12

Evening

I think I had that exact same email from LinkedIn helen - right down to the number of people who have viewed my profile Grin

it being winter doesn't help either - the short days and the cold. and when the sun does shine it just shows up how dirty your windows are

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/01/2020 07:58

That's ok Fancy - there's no sunshine here to show up the state of our windows Blush and Hmm at the double-post from MN last night.

Good plan on gaining traction with HBFs LetUs - I shall try that tonight.

Ohh - bonkers dream of the night - fighting zombies. With lots of details right down to fetching the crowbars (for trying to knock their heads off). Not very scary - just 'WFT was that about' when I woke up at 1:30 this morning. (I blame Skulduggery Pleasant, which DS told we was excellent and I had to read.) Sdaly, no FAF to help fight them off. Boo.

Have a good day.

Morning wenches.

Feels a very ho hum sort of day. As opposed to a ho hey sort of day which I would very much be in favour of yes please.

LetUsPrey · 08/01/2020 08:00

At least you can think you’ll be okay in case of zombie attacks Helen

FancyFancy · 08/01/2020 08:43

Morning
We'll all be hiding round at yours when the zombie apocalypse arrives then helen Grin
