I've been catching up with washing today, haven't done any since before Christmas.

Hope Fräsan is alright now. Buffy wasn't in the least bothered by fireworks. DS's GF's dog went to pieces with the crackers on Boxing Day, they all react differently.

Fräsan is fine now. She doesn't like loud noises like the vacuum cleaner, Sigrid on the other hand didn't react at all, you could vacuum around her. I miss her so much
Watched a really good ep of Midsomer Murders where I didn't remember who tve murderer was. The Duke of Savoy was in it. The ep is called Let Us Prey

We don't have enough fireworks to worry the cats, though they don't like the hoover - esp Stupid Cat. They're better with the cordless that the wired one as well - I think it's less horrifyingly noisy.

Speaking of Twitter, DH (as you may recall) has now started mainsplaining using it. He's not following many people, but the poor sod is following me, and keeps getting 'suggestions' that he might like to follow various Musketeer fans too. Been out to friends’ house for new year food and drinks so we’ve no chance of getting to Doctor Who tonight, although we are supposed to be watching Dracula. This isn’t happening because we’ve had to get through the darts and then the arsing football and now I’ve just discovered - as I type this - that it’s not bastard recorded —because I forgot to set it to record—. For fucksactualsake.

We have been doing some 'Great British Intelligence Test' via BBC It has caused some surprise. I'm better at spatial stuff that I thought, apparently. And neither of us can work out how they decided our verbal working memory.

We also forgot to record Dracula, but we did remember Doctor Who so DS can rewatch to his heart's content. I did want to startswatching Killing Eve again (Yes, I know!) But, well... See LetUs's reference to sodding football and bastarding darts.

Afternoon. Really cold here today.

I went for my post-op appointment at the hospital this afternoon. All is well and I've been discharged. I wasn't really worried, but it's nice to know.

Our two never wanted to talk when they got in. They just used to crawl to bed, although as I may have mentioned before, DS was once sick out of the bedroom window and we found it all down the house some time later. I'm mortified that the neighbours may have seen it before we did.

at Christmas twig. Ours will come down some time over the weekend. I'm always sorry to see them go, the house looks empty without them.

We watched Dracula last night, ep 2 is tonight I think. Don't watch it immediately before going to bed. Just saying...

I think decorations come down on the 6th but I’m hoping DH gets it all packed away this weekend when I’m not here . Then there’ll be the one thing that stays hidden in plain sight until the end of January.
