Evening, we have watched the Goes Wrong Show and giggles a lot. Now I need to do all the stuff that I haven't done yet. Tomorrow we are going to the LandOfNoInternet for 4 days [horror] I'm thinking I might try to work out how my phone does the internet thing... I have to stop being such a luddite at some point.

Glad to hear that MrA has no plans to climb the chimney, and FFS at people who finish for Christmas and don't make sure that their departments have cover. Idiots.

Don't know what it's like in the UK around Christmas but here there's absolutely nothing to watch on the telly except movies they already shown about a million times. Thank goodness I have my Poirot box set.

Usually quite good in the UK Wicked. BBC have got a fair few good things on. We’re just watching the first part of A Christmas Carol, and I’m really looking forward to the Dracula adaptation on New Year’s Day. Hurrah for Poirot though!

Half day today and then off for nearly a week!

A bit hmmmm at A Christmas Carol. Obviously I’m not averse to the odd swear, but I didn’t particularly like it in this. The rest of the programme was very good though.

Feeling a bit better again today - painkillers keeping on top of things more and I definitely slept better last night. Doctor thinks it's a viral thing - possibly laryngitis, which would explain the lost voice. Just relieved to be feeling on the mend

DD has been bribed to do cleaning today, yesterday DS helped with the Christmas food shop. I have to say I was most impressed with his supermarket teamwork. If you overlook the fact we forgot a coin for the trolley we were supermarket ninjas, bloody awesome.

I have a little tidying to do today & some baking, then hopefully feet up for the evening and an early night, I will sleep easier knowing MrA won't be tackling the chimney

Hope your half day was less hectic than yesterday letus and that helen has a safe journey today.

Afternoon. I've put my back out, no idea how. It's a good job I'm not cooking tomorrow or Boxing Day or I wouldn't be iyswim.

We don't watch a lot of TV over the holiday, so I haven't really looked at the schedules.

I read that about Christmas Carol LetUs, not too sure about it either. We've recorded it and will get round to it some time, when we've watched Gold Digger which has turned out to be a bit lot crap, but we might as well finish it. Have also set Dracula to record.

Work was actually not that bad. Got home and got all the final bits done. Picked LittleSis up from the station and safely delivered her to mother’s.

Didn't do much yesterday except work in the evening.
Today I got up early and bought some christmas decorations 50% off and also splurged on a new vacuum cleaner, I do know how to spoil myself.
Then I visited mum for lunch and then my sis and her family came over for coffee and cake and we also exchanged gifts. We usually don't do this so I only bought one thing for their whole family but even my nieces had bought separate gifts for me so I felt a bit stupid. I must do better next year

Got changed to go out to the ILs. The thing that fitted six months ago no longer fits. FFAS.

Had a fun, if tiring, day yesterday - DSis & family were with us. It all seemed to go well, my voice is slowly returning. Taste buds still affected, which is a bit of a bugger, but I was able to appreciate a little pink wine

Afternoon wenches. Am shopping with the whole family. What fun times I am having. Not that I’m buying anything. No. DS1 has a coat and jeans and is trying on shoes. He’s been trying on shoes for about 20 minutes and there’s nowhere for either me or DS2 to sit. This is not doing my back and hips any favours.
