DGS stayed the night so nothing got done this morning and somehow the afternoon has passed me by. Still no cards done, will definitely do them all tomorrow.

Oh, poor WW.

We're going for a meal at the pub later with DD & Co.

Twitter tells me that Lethal White has wrapped (also prepped for Xmas then!) and will be on screens in Autumn next year. Autumn then again, this is the BBC, so I don't know why I'm surprised by their scheduling/keeping fans hanging about.

Dark and windy today. Perfect for a Monday morning.

Also perfect is DS2 saying he’s worried about school because there’s homework due today (which was set but then disappeared from the website and app so we assumed it’s been un-set) but he’s now saying he remembers her saying in the lesson it was set. Even though I did ask him about that yesterday. He’s sitting at the table, crying in a panic, despite my offers of help. Brilliant.

We had a fun time last night - despite DS being tireda misergy guts. "No, I want to be here" he says with his face tripping him. But he did enjoy it, I think he's just tired, which doesn't bode well for this week.

Hope that apricot nejoyed her pub crawl and that Wicked is starting to feel better, and that Fancy got HBFs stuff done.

I'm meant to be working, but a friend wants to pop round and already I can see the day just being a bit chaotic and disorganised and not enough work being done. Oh well - I may be pleasantly surprised and it will be nice to see my friend anyway.

We watched His Dark Materials but I think we nodded off a bit so may need a rewatch.

I've done six a few more cards, but it's been a distracting day here too. The bloody doorbell thing still isn't working. It's supposed to connect to DH's phone so we can see who's at the door wherever we are and speak to them, but it won't pair up and he's getting more and more frustrated with it. A phone call to Virgin Media didn't end well.

I wrote a note for DS2 re his homework (something that has sort of been covered anyway last time I had a meeting at school) saying he’d tried his best but was getting worked up into a full panic. Turns out the teacher had changed their mind and set something else (which he’d done) and deleted it. Perhaps would have made more sense to add a note to the homework in capital letters saying it was no longer needed but hey ho.

Hope you ended up having a wonderful time with your friend Helen and everything else became magically organised.

Well done on the cards Apricot! I’ve told Athos you may need some help with finishing off and he said he does too so he’ll be round later.

I actually posted some cards today. This is possibly the earliest I’ve been as I’ve been able to send them second class without checking the last posting date first.

Preparing for my third night sleeping sitting on the couch. Called the GP and will collect cough medicine tomorrow, with morphine in it. The one I'm currently using expired a year ago

I had a nice time with my friend and her DCs, and have been out for a 'historic city tour' thing, which was a bit chilly but very interesting.

Having written some cards, I'm now in danger of getting complacent about it all again...

Morning. dry, cold and a bit sunny here. With a side order of an infuriating, entitled toerag of a DS how seems to think that I'm his skivvy and the cause of all things wrong with his world. I figure I may as well live up to at least the latter part and will be removing the xbox and his phone. (I'm a bit raging at him after this morning's hissy fit comes on the back of a run of general ingratitude and grotty behaviour.)

Eureka! The doorbell thing works. It's on my phone too. It filmed DH outside and then I switched it off and my phone pic of TB appeared. I said 'ooooo is he outside now?' It was funny at the time.

I've done all the cards that need to be posted, but haven't posted them yet.

MrHelen is clearly better enough to be out doing SportingStuff tonight. which is nice for him but I doubt he should really be there.

Hope that LetUs has had a good warm-up with the HBFs... though probably that level of getting sweaty requires a long shower...

Hurrah at the doorbell working and at Athos appearing on your phone. Can you imagine - the doorbell goes when you’re out and about, you look at your phone and there’s an HBF standing there, ringing your bell . How fast would you make it back home whilst shouting “don’t leave, wait round the back ”

Evening. Went to do the food shop in bright sunshine, came out and put it in my boot in pouring rain.

Cards posted, now I only have to do the neighbours and the golf club, which is considerable. I know DH should do them, but it's easier to just get on with it.

It’s Apprentice night for DH and DS1 so that means a relaxing early night for me with a book/steamy times with an HBF.

It's daaaaaaaaaark (deja vu) and I'm tired, with a headache, winge, whine, etc etc. On the plus side, I think it stayed dry today.

I'm also a bit cold. Tonight I shall be having Athos a hot bath and early night. And more to drink.
