Emergency new thread, with suitable decorations.
Fill your boots...

Grubby HBFs in leather are in our imaginations residence.
Sense of humour required, and tolerance for domestic tedium.

Not sure what you call them in the UK, carpet beetles?

Ew - they sound annoying Sad

Right, hayloft for me...

Morning wenches.

I am not laughing at you falling into a muddy puddle Helen. I am absolutely not. Grin

Thanks for the Wine Wicked.

I think we’ve had carpet beetles quite a few years ago. Just as DS2 was starting to crawl.

Dark and rainy this morning. Can’t rightly be arsed.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/11/2019 08:00

That's alright LetUs - I bet I laughed more than you. Grin (It wasn't so much a puddle as a lake)

Not so rainy here but cloudy and urgh Sad It's clearly a duvet day.

Oh - in FAF related news, this website was linked to on twitter - full of filming locations for Strike
thetottenham.tumblr.com/post/189279029809/lethal-white-filming-lincolns-inn-fields

LetUs - I know there aren't any jobs atm, but can you let us know where we can actually look for jobs as PA to FAF? Wink

Evening. It's the last garden collection tomorrow, so we've been filling the bins like mad today... in the rain. Hmm

We get a few carpet beetles in the spring, they're very tiny, but I don't want them.

I decided against the Iceland shipment. I once sent a coat to Canada, and the woman gave me a neutral because she said it was too small, in spite of the fact that I gave full measurements and the sizing is different there. I felt like replying that I can't help it if she's bigger than she thought. Angry

Hope you've recovered from your hilarious muddy fall Helen.

TB's TV drama Responsible Child is on at 9.00pm to 10.30pm on Monday 16th December, BBC2. I won't be in. Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/11/2019 20:16

Evening.

I have had a very lazy day and my legs are a bit achy from yesterday's unexpected mudbath. Absolutely nothing else to report though. I should probably have bath and early night.

Can't you record it Apricot?

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 26/11/2019 20:42

You deserve a lazy day after that Helen. Yes, I'll record it, but it's typical that first time we see him on TV in ages, I'm not in. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 26/11/2019 20:48

Evening wenches.

Athos will be over to give you a thorough rub down Helen, and will make sure you got all the mud off.

Also if I knew where there were PA jobs to FAF, I’d definitely be sharing the information. A variety of positions to fill with many benefits .

It’s nice to watch something like that when it’s on. Just think though Apricot, you’ll have the added anticipation the extra wait will bring.

Have had a bit of a shit day, followed by an even shitter evening. I’m just tired.

Thanks Wicked Smile

Well fuckadoodleme at that picture and gif. Also the Ian Anthony Dale on the credits is from Hawaii Five O and he’s rather lovely. I might look that up.

LetUsPrey · 26/11/2019 22:26

They’re both in Salvation. Which I can’t get.

I just need to check with —Santi— Santa as to his definition of good and see if he’ll pop it into my stocking

The combination of vodka and HBFs is making me feel very relaxed.

LetUsPrey · 27/11/2019 08:02

Morning wenches.

I have a pain in my left shoulder blade. Not as bad as it was last night when it hurt to turn over. Can having trapped wind give you shoulder blade pain? Eyes also playing. I look like a fucking delight this morning GrinGrin

Going to get cracking on some Christmas shopping today, otherwise known as buying loads online and getting to delivered to work/one of those locker things.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/11/2019 08:03

Stockings?

It's raining here. The ditches and gulleys are full again. I shall buy a canoe to collect DS from the bus stop this afternoon.
#exaggeration - about the canoe anyway.

Neighbour's rats chihuahuas woke me up early Angry

ApricotCrush · 27/11/2019 17:26

Evening. Exceedingly boring day here.

Grin at neighbour's rats. Sorry WW, that's very annoying, but it amused me.

Hope LetUs has had a better day and Helen didn't have any more water-related problems.

LetUsPrey · 27/11/2019 20:15

Evening wenches. I’m tiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrreeeeeddddddd.

Boring can be vastly underrated Apricot. Grin

Did you remain dry today Helen? Or did you do a Vicar of Dibleyesque jump into a puddle? Here’s to a better night’s sleep.

at your neighbours Wicked. Mind you, can’t imagine next door here are too thrilled if they can hear DS1 shouting at his computer game, although to be fair that’s not at stupid o’clock in the morning.

Witnessed an altercation in supermarket car park this morning and had to call the Police. The store staff were brilliant and defused the situation so well. I’d only stopped off for a couple of loaves.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/11/2019 21:24

at water-related problems sounds all very 'Carry On'. No problems today - because I went out wearing waterproofs, AND the 1/2 inch+ of rain that we had overnight has washed down the road a bit, so bigger puddles, but less mud to slip on. I would contemplate absolutely perform a Vicar of Dibleyesque jump into a puddle if it meant I ended up with the FAF... Grin

We did have a roofer round to look at the leaking roof today - and another one due tomorrow. Then we shall hope that we get a quote and the work done before the ceiling gets even messier.

Do you often have bread riots locally LetUs? And how is your shoulder now? Does Dr Aramis need to take a look at you?

Hope Wicked gets and early night and the dos are quieter tomorrow. And That Fancy is having a good week off.
