I had a rather tedious drive back - a warning light came on mid-motorway so I had to come off and the next exit, then had to google the light because I couldn't find the manual. Then I misdiagosed it due to weird scree layout on the phone, and eventually topped up all the car tyres but the light was still on. FFS and all that... then I missed the exit on the motorway going home and had an unexpected trip to roadworks that I shouldn't have gone anywhere near. Ho hum. That serves e right on several fronts - 1) find my car manual so I can figure out problems more easily; 2) pay more attention to boring motorways and try to remember junction numbers so I can tell if I've overshot - rather than look dubiously at the signs and place-names with an increasing suspicion that I've missed my exit Off out to see a 'tribute' band tonight - which, tbh I think we could all live without because DH is knackered. But he's bought tickets now so...

God I love Midsumer Murders, someone just got killed in a printing press!

Oh yes - the Berlin episode of Killing Eve was and Who remembers the episode of Cracker when they killed off Christopher Ecclestone's character? another one. (Killing Eve, I rather saw coming as soon as he started following her by himself.)

Anyway - afternoon :) I had a mega-lie-in and have been mostly been on domestic housewife duties since then - behold my sparkling sinks!

Last night was quite entertaining, DS wanted to be right at the front, and I did appreciate being stood in front of the guitarist (none of whom were FAF) who didn't try to play his guitar with his crotch/use it as a machine gun/pull faces as though he was manhandling a giant slug (see imgur.com/gallery/R9NCh) He just quietly (or loudly) go on with playing his guitar. We also, by being at the front, got fed with strawberry shoe-lace sweets, which was slightly odd, but again, quite entertaining.

Rain here as well. I slept in but then I actually done something useful and cleaned my clogged bathroom sink, and also cleaned under the bath tub, lot of grime and lime so I have to redo it. I also cleaned behind the stove. So I plan to reward myself with a glass of wine this evening

Did everything I intended to today with the exception of the ironing. Homework did not go swimmingly. I feel so sorry for DS2 because he finds it so hard and I understand that I’m the easiest and most direct target for him, but it doesn’t help when it’s me he’s shouting at.

I’ve got the tennis on. Tsitsipas is playing. He’s very talented —but only 21 so we’ll stick with talented—

Also - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a dream where you could get those massive balls of Lindor, except it was a black / dark chocolate one - not the red /milk chocolate one. I was really excited today when I remembered I'd seen them - and then really gutted when I realised that I was remembering a dream and not something that I actually saw.

On that note, the hayloft calls...

Dark Lindor is definitely a thing - just not in the big Christmas Balls version, or the bigger boxes . Though, to be fair, it's probably cheaper to buy them in the boxes than the seasonal 'we have increased the price because hey - you'll pay extra for pretty packaging' ball.

Work was shit, traffic was crap. DH was out this evening, plumber came round to service the boiler, then BestFriend came round as he left, and SIL arrived shortly after. So I didn’t eat until quite late and I’m knackered. I’m going to take myself off to a corner of the hayloft and whinge away quietly to myself to get it out of my system.

Morning wenches. Got my wish. Not as cold this morning. It’s colder. I’ve found some de-icer but scraper is still missing. I shall use DS1’s old library card, it’ll be the first time it’s been used for a while.

there’s no squirty cream for the hot chocolates. Could have sworn that was some. Does anywench know where it’s gone?
