It has been dry here today, but the house stinks of new windows - solvent and glue and whatever else they used. They've got got more room to do tomorrow. Which DH will be dealing with too, because I will have escaped be off to freedom my mini-meet. Much as I love DH and DS, I'm really looking forward to a couple of days away I don't actually mind having people working on the house - I'm always far too interested in what they're doing. i was a bit sad to miss today's efforts since in wanted to know how the extension is constructed behind the cladding. I'm probably a bit weird

I imagine that Fräsan's efforts would be along the lines of "You - human. Bring me food.... now stop making so much noise and let me sleep.... and close the bloody window - it's cold."

My suggestion is that wenches stay in the Tav and keep warm which will obviously involve HBFs and activities

Afternoon. Horrible day here, heavy rain all day.

Went to town with DD this morning. We've got a new B & M and we bought some bits and pieces.

No idea about the waiting list LetUs, but she said it would be before Christmas. I've had a polyp removed before, 16 years ago, but had a general anaesthetic then. I've declined it this time as I can't be doing with all the kerfuffle so hopefully a local won't be too bad.

We are having a very enjoyable mini-meet. We have done the cultural thing and are contemplating a rewatch (which may involve me falling asleep because I'm knackered).

Hurrah for homework (but boo for the tears and stress factor ). 'Bits and Pieces' shopping is always fun, though I find I come home and wonder what I'll do with said bits and pieces, which seemed like such a good idea in the shop

Evening wenches. No rain today A lot of the roads round here are flooded but not impassable, but two cars got stuck in the ford up the road yesterday. There's a depth gauge in it and it was reading 3 foot.

We went out to lunch with DD and DS today which was nice. It's very rare for the four of us to have a get together. We were able to have a good family discussion which is difficult with others there.

So, I am still installed at Chateau Fancy where tea is being cooked. (And FancyCat is perched on the side waiting for food/attention/general fuss-and-attention) We have been out on a cultural excursion full of historical and baffling educational information, where I have utterly failed to understand how code breaking machines work. (So I bought a book about it which will probably still leave me feeling baffled impressed by the ingenuity of it all.) We also had very nice tea/hot chocolate and soup/apple cake to keep us going. So a successful day out (if sightly on the cold and clammy side as far as the weather went). Plus FancyMan had a brief cameo appearance which was nice.

And we are inflicting our eclectic musical choices on each other by having our phones on shuffle

Practically inhuman conditions that temperature Wicked, that’s what it is. And that snow - no. Unless there’s a luxurious log cabin with HBFs, in which case I’ll give it a go.

Cultural outing sounds fun and something I’d try to get DS1 to go to but he would refuse. Apple cake sounds bloody delicious. I am trying to eat more healthily though because the scales are not making me happy.

We had a late night rewatch last night - S2ep9-10, during which we found out that Queenie has "great endurance" so S1ep9 must have been fun for Aramis and no wonder they were both asleep when Athos came in. We also had Aramis in the dungeon-of-attractive-lighting and lots of sass from Milady ('That was a rescue, not an escape') Happy days...

Now I must head homewards and do responsible adulting/parenting stuff.
