I’ve been on BBC Sounds again. I have downloaded the radio series of Good Omens. At this rate I won’t need to speak to DH much at all on holiday . Given that he’s just said he thinks it’ll be best if he stays behind at the hotel with DS2 if there’s any trips to, for example, ancient historical sights because DS2 won’t be interested and I should go with DS1 and when I pointed out he would be even less interested, his answer was that I should just go on my own, perhaps not talking to him is the way to go. Travelling around on my own —on an organised trip— will do wonders for my travel anxiety.

He’s now asking what stressing me about the holiday. I do not like travelling. Oh but it’s great he says, I love it! Let’s keep talking about it. Dick.

Although I am also missing the match as we are “special dress” shopping with LittleSis. She is a bit cross with herself at the dress appointments clashing with the netball as she’s rather a big fan. She’s just been in Ireland too. I think she’s still drying out after all the rain

Here’s the plan. Kevin keeps his hat on whilst he’s next to you and DD so he’s in disguise, although you know it’s him and he knows that you know. DD heads home after the athletics, you tell her you have plans. Very athletic ones.

Had lunch with old schoolfriends today, five of us, yapping for three hours. Now I'm drinking and watching Midsomer. Bloody hot here and it's going to get worse next week, up to 29-30 degrees

That sounds a fab way to spend a day Wicked. I’ve got apple juice instead of wine, and Lewis instead of Midsomer Murders.

We’ve got similar temperatures here next week I think.

Evening. The outing to the party then morphed into school uniform shopping and then a beer festival. It also included lots of hot sun, a torrential downpour and several rumbles of thunder (but no visible lightning).

WhatsApp is pretty much the same as Messenger Helen, except that I think you can only use it on your phone as it needs a phone number, or something. I have one with DD and another for the family/extended family.

Went to a car boot sale today and made some bargains including a really pretty cream jug marked Grindley England. Is it something you guys recognise? Looks kind of new.
