And wenches can use their imaginations to make the temperature rise and anything else they can think of.

I know apricot - they've picked up on continuity errors which I want to check out (but I can't quite be bothered to fire up the DVD). Season two is hilarious as well, but they haven't done season three. Sad

The weekend has been quite long here - mainly because on Saturday night I was convinced that it was Sunday, so they I got what felt like a bonus Sunday Grin It has at least stopped raining. But there are flooded roads everywhere. The chickens are stupid and have been outside in the rain. Scruffy was 100% drowned rat.

LetUsPrey · 06/10/2019 21:25

Evening wenches.

No HBI again.

The weekend - I heard a whooshing sound just by my ear earlier. That may have been the weekend.

Fairly shitty day courtesy of DS2’s crappy attitude. Going in to speak to school again about his issues with homework.

That Musketeers stuff has been cheering me no end though Grin

DH is going to come downstairs in a few minutes and ask “so what shall we watch then?” and then have a bit of a mood on when I point out the time and that I don’t really want to start watching anything now.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 06/10/2019 21:26

Been so bloody tired this weekend, probably because of blob. Also dodgy tummy.
And after watching several episodes of Real Housewives of Cheshire the voice in my head now have a different accent, it used to be posh, not anymore Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 06/10/2019 22:00

Don't get me wrong, I love that accent. The Swedish cast member a model married to a fotballer, shocker! managed to insult some of the other cast members by describing the accent as rough, not as chic as the London one. Typically Swedes, so bloody rude Grin

LetUsPrey · 06/10/2019 22:26

She sounds pleasant Grin

I love hearing —HBFs— people speak English with an accent

I should head to the hayloft. It appears to be Monday tomorrow and I have to go to work and not tell people that I’m really fucking fed up with them.

LetUsPrey · 07/10/2019 07:43

Morning wenches.

More fucking rain.

Woke up in the night because I was too hot. Got up to open the windows but they were already open. Another of the joys of the age I am.

We’ve got loads of homework stress again this week - all the stuff he struggles with.

I will try to focus on some positive stuff. I know, it’s my mum’s birthday tomorrow and it’s been a bit of a bumpy year so that’s good.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/10/2019 07:56

LetUs Here's something positive to focus on (I think it's from the ComicCon last week/end)

Has stopped raining here for now. the chicken run if full of mouse/rat holes - I think they got forced to burrow upwards for their lives yesterday - that or drown.

LetUsPrey · 07/10/2019 08:15

I am now picturing mice and rats running away from the chicken coop to the tune from The Great Escape.

Also, forgot to say, I watched that new Picard trailer you mentioned. Very nice.

ApricotCrush · 07/10/2019 18:05

Evening. More rain here, did a washload and it's still wet. Hmm

I still get the night sweats and hot flushes LetUs, because my bitch of a GP took my HRT off me 5 years ago, because of breast cancer, but it was a risk I was prepared to take and it's since been mostly disproved that the patches cause a higher risk. Basically I'm still in the menopause. Shock I'm seeing a gynaecologist at the hospital about another matter tomorrow God I've got so many problems so I'll ask her if there's anything I can do.

Poor wet Scruffy. Sad

We've given up on Sanditon, it's a bit rubbishy, and might start that WWII drama tonight, can't remember what it's called.

(I really wish I'd watched Raised by Wolves - I can probably get it online somewhere. Or buy it.)

Helen Grin

LetUsPrey · 07/10/2019 21:09

Evening wenches.

I do sometimes think that gynae and menopausal issues aren’t given enough time, thought, and resources by some medical professionals. I’m just holding on for what Kristin Scott-Thomas’s character said in Fleabag that once it’s over, it’s glorious. Because that has to be fully, totally and factually correct.

Good luck for tomorrow Apricot. I watched one episode of Sanditon. I haven’t bothered with any more. The new BBC thing is World on Fire. Have recorded it.

I love that Helen!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/10/2019 22:27

I'm going to make sandwiches and head for the hayloft. I should have gone for an early night, but I'm a muppet. I am also getting a cold. Joy.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow apricot

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2019 07:23

Morning wenches.

You’re looking a bit flushed Helen. Too many layers? Take some layers off

Hope the cold doesn’t develop.

Lots of luck today Apricot.

Hope Fancy’s commute isn’t being too awful.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2019 07:53

Morning. School bus was late, so now I'm running late...

Have a good day all.

Evening.

Well, that was an absolute nightmare. Because our hospital is labrynthine and I had no idea where I was going DD, who works there, got in the car at the entrance and took me to the relevant car park. It was full, as was every other one. My appointment time was approaching and I was getting more and more panicky, so she told me where to go and said she'd carry on driving round until she found a space she's never driven my car before. Shock

Got in, sat down and then they came and said the clinic doctor was on study leave and someone else was going to take over but there could be a wait. DD arrived with my keys and to tell me where the car was. TWO HOURS LATER I saw the doctor, who was very nice and said she wanted to take some cells from my uterus (I've been having pain for a few months, but it's gone now). God, I thought I was giving birth again. Anyway, I've now got to have a hyseroscopy (camera thing with local anaesthetic). Of course as it took so long, I hit the rush hour traffic and a 20 minute journey took over an hour. I feel shredded.

Anyway DH says he'll go and get fish and chips, so all's well that ends well. Sorry about the rant.

Hope everyone's had a better day.

Oh lord - what a nightmare Apricot Sad Though LOL at fish and chips making up for it all Grin Have some Wine at the correct ambient temperature, and a HBF to look after you

I have had a very uneventful day - hurrah.

ApricotCrush · 08/10/2019 20:21

Thank you Helen, glad your day was better.

There's more to it. Because my car is low, it didn't set the camera off which records the number plate, so the car park barrier wouldn't go up and she had to call security out to sort it and they had to move the queue of cars back to try it again. Of course I was unaware of that at the time. God knows what I would have done if I'd been driving. Confused

OP posts:
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/10/2019 20:45

I'm exhausted just reading about it Apes Confused
And the car park barrier ting, I would have been so stressed!

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2019 21:14

Evening wenches.

Oh Apricot, for the love of it all, what a complete palaver Sad. I hope they didn’t have to take your blood pressure as part of it all. I don’t think it would have been a very accurate reading. And yes, the car park barrier would have pushed me over the edge. Still, fish and chips though. Yum.

Hurrah for uneventful day Helen!

Work was crap. Got home. DS2 had promised to do homework when he get in from school. Reminded him about it when he phoned. Got in, not done anything. We had shouting and complaining and whining for about an hour and a half. I’ve ironed and done a wash and I’m knackered. I may have had a vodka.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2019 22:21

Didn't Apricot end up with stupidly high blood pressure at the last reading due to hospital fuckwittery? Or was that someone else? Oh well... The car park must have been hideous - like one of those horrific stress nightmares where you wake with a wave of pure relief that it didn't really happen. Except that it did. Confused

re. homework. LetUs DS forgot to hand his in today, and was meant to grill my DF ("Ask someone much older than you...") about role models, which he also forgot to do tonight. I was quite smug that he didn't consider DH or me as being 'Much older' Grin

And now I'm in bed for an early night. Well, before 11pm - that'll do for a starter. Had best shut down though or I'll just carry on mooching online, which isn't the point at all.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/10/2019 07:48

School bus was one time today. so can't blame that for running late.

Have a good day all...

LetUsPrey · 09/10/2019 07:58

Morning wenches.

Grin at not being the Much Older candidate Helen.

Stomach ache keeping me awake last night, as well as fretting about whether DS2’s English homework is right. Such fun.

ApricotCrush · 09/10/2019 18:24

Evening. I've done sod all today.

Yes Helen, it was me with the high blood pressure. Fortunately I didn't have to have a blood pressure check yesterday. If I'd been in Cardiology I think they would have admitted me. Grin

Actually there was another problem with the car park barrier. I found where DD had parked the car, paid at the meter, and drove up to the barrier which didn't go up. DD had finished work by this time and was driving by, saw me having trouble and parked up. We were wondering what to do when a kind gentleman gently told us that actually that is the entrance and the exit is over the other side. Cue both of us feeling extremely stupid, but it was just typical of the way the day went. Both DH and her DH thought it was totally hilarious. Grin

Hope the stomach ache has gone LetUs and the homework problem is resolved.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/10/2019 19:02

Evening. Fairly quiet day at work, which meant I had to do all those tedious non-urgent jobs that I've been justified in ignoring for a few weeks. #Professional Grin

I like the idea of a lock-in LetUs

Homework - DS had detention today for forgetting to take his in. I feel this will not be a bad thing at all if it concentrates his brai. On the other hand, if it didn't bother him at all then it's a bad thing, because it will mean that detention isn't a 'threat' Confused He's out at school thing until later tonight so I'll find out later.

We're watching bake-off. They seem to have make deep fired 'lady parts' Confused DH is snerking at them. So am I Grin
