A mother gave birth to premature twins at her flooded home shortly before she was winched to safety by RAF rescuers.
The woman's family had raised the alarm but she had given birth at the family home in Tewkesbury before the rescue helicopters arrived.
"The twins were winched into one helicopter and the mother into another helicopter," said Flt Lt Douglas Larkam, of the B Flight 22 Squadron.
The mother and babies were flown to Cheltenham General hospital.
"As I understand it, she had given birth moments before we arrived," said Flt Lt Larkam, whose squadron is based at Wattisham Airfield, Suffolk.
"To be winched into a helicopter must have been pretty nerve-wracking for her.
"To her credit, she was quite calm during the flight."
The rescue took place just after 0500 BST on Saturday, 21 July.
Hope her birth story appears here
