Sorry another name thread.

Have been discussing names for the baby with DH, we both like Eden for a boy, so we are sorted on that one, but DH like Leeanna and I like Ellie for a girl. We can't decide on the girl name.. help

Leeanna is a bit Bobby Sue, Billy Rose, you know double barrelled first names!!

Ellie pretty if you can guarantee she not going to be a fat child - girl as school was called ellie the elephant for years - bless her!!

Eden makes me think of the Eden project though!!

I Love Ellie. I have that in mind for any dds I might have, although I'm not sure now after twinkie's post (dh prone to putting on weight so any dd might be too).

Eden is a bit odd, but each to their own.

Why put an extra E in Leeanna? Leanna is pretty as it is.

Ellie is really popular at the moment, which puts me off. Ella? Ellen? Eleanor?

Eden - well, if you both like it... but I have only heard it used for girls.

Not sure about Eden... reminds me of Jordan, which got a bit too popular in the 90s (sorry all parents of Jordan's)

Yes, when I read Leeanna I just want to go "Leeeeeeeeeanna". The extra e is not necessary.

How about Eleanor, then she could be Ellie for short or Ella. I think names like Ellie are cute for cute little girls but they may appreciate a 'full' name in the future.

Have to say I also think Eden is a girl's name. He may have some difficulties with that in years to come.

How about Leani, Sa DIl has this name, so pretty, but I would think it if DS had been a girl she would have been called it, as it was he was a boy so called him the male version

I made dh do a list of names he liked for boys and girls and I did a list too, we narrowed each down to 10, crossing off the ones we both hated and then had 5,4,3,2 and 1 points to allocate to each list, then added up and the top scoring were the names.

Possibly a little obsessive!

We came out with Holly and Daisy as joint top for a girl and Gabriel for a boy! Neither of us got the names we really really wanted but are happy with these!

Now I just need to get pregnant!
