Chafer beetle update: The fucking useless traps have caught another two. The lawn was alive with them again this morning but we have a new weapon - the lawnmower! DH hoovered them up while I followed squishing any left behind. The trouble is we don't know how many of them have flown into the trees and how many are still underground. They die anyway after they've mated and laid eggs, so what's the point of them? Apart from being in the food chain.
