But unlikely, since they have been in the greenhouse a while and although they're nearly through the roof, I don't think they'd support my weight, let alone reach up into a mythical cloud-based land where I can rob and murder a giant for his money....

Afternoon. Warm and cloudy here too.

Latest on the chafer grubs which have now turned into beetles. We have four pheromone traps on the lawns which are supposed to attract them. The males think they are lady beetles, fly in and can't get out. These have been in place for about 3 weeks and so far all we have caught is one confused fly.

This morning we noticed that the beetles are emerging from the ground but are the males flying to the traps? No, why would they when there are lady beetles emerging right next to them. The lawn is a fucking great shagfest. We've spent over £300 on this problem so far, and the best solution we've found, apart from the magpies, is to stamp on them!

I have been out planting the runner beans and then declaring yet more war on yet more bindweed. Then the heavens opened (lovely big ploppy raindrops hurling themselves down from the sky) and I decided to come in before I was soaked to the actual skin (as illustrated wonderfully by Aramis)

Also, here is a very hopeful and acrobatic squirrel...

I have no idea why MN has decided that the acrobatic squirrel should be on it's side though

Apricot - I’m on my way to sort out those grub beetle things. I will stamp the fecking shit out of them. DH is really pissing me off. The lack of sleep from the other night has caught up with me. My hayfever is off the fucking chart today (those antihistamines I told you about Badderz are good but I find they need backing up with nose spray and/or eye drops when the pollen count is very high) so I’m not in a great mood.

So when DH is doing his “I’m going to disagree with everything you say even when I’m actually agreeing with you” schtick, then BOOM! I’m ignoring him.

Ooooooh, the chick is gorgeous. 😍 And well done to the squirrel.

The Cosmopolitan popsicle was lovely. As is the Bucks Fizz one I’ve nearly finished. They’re very easy to eat.

I had some peach Bellini and gin and tonic ones from aldi.
They were ok. Bit sickly.
