Tom and Santi are showing the wenches what they have for us for Christmas.

We have been out in garden and then out, because the weather has been nice here until fairly late on. Am a bit knackered though.

We have the usual ski holiday next month, and then no other travel plans. Will have to organise a meet-up...

I also need to declutter on a massive and frankly quite overwhelming scale So I think the best way to go about it is to ignore the whole thing do a bit at a time

Evening at friends’ house was jolly nice. Got a bit tipsy. Food wa as delicious as always. Didn’t stay too late though as DH back at work tomorrow.

Not sure what we’re doing re holiday this year. It should be our abroad hot weather holiday but no idea where. Might do a trip to London with DNiece if we can match up our calendars. Or go and do some Harry Potter stuff with DSis.

I could do with a declutter too but will probably follow Helen’s lead.

We seem to be watching Spectre. How did Daniel Craig ever get to be James Bond? He does nothing for me.

Is MrA just 'on the waiting list'? Isn't he waiting for MRI results or summat? (I lose track ) When are those due?
Fingers crossed he gets it all sorted soon, or at least further down the road to getting it sorted. It's utterly crap when you can't physically do stuff - esp for apricot having to try and be sympathetic in the face of spousal grumpiness. Oh, wait - I'm projecting again . I'm sure Apricot is managing fiiiiiiiiiiine....

I also want a bath. Stupid Cat (on my lap) is glaring at me as I type that, and has now got up and curled up into a tighter ball She is quite definite that I'm not turfing her off to have a bath.

There is new stuff at the Making of Harry Potter now, so we might also be able to justify another trip there, and to Chateau Fancy, who is closer than we are to that venue and provides a very highly rated B&B

All I know about Spectre is that it has a daft opening titles with lots of tentacles. Surely that should be for Octopussy?

Night all, tomorrow I shall be ferrying DS about to his BFF's birthday outing. Which will be nice because I can catch up with BFF's mother (when she's not busy fielding BFF's siblings)

Afternoon wenches. Miserable day here.

We've been getting the trees and decorations down. It's all in bags on the landing waiting to go into the loft if DH can get up there.

About his knees, yes, we presume he is on a waiting list. His right knee was originally the worst and they were going to do that one first, but since then he's injured the left one, that's what the MRI before Christmas was for. He has a torn cartilage and that's giving him more trouble now than the right one. The surgeon is at the hospital where he will have the op(s) tomorrow so he's going to phone his secretary to see what's happening.

Quite enjoyed Spectre although I have no idea what was going on. DH made the same comment about Octopussy. For some reason Blofeld reappeared although I thought he was killed years ago. Perhaps it was his son. Anyway, Buffy had a walk-on appearance as Blofield's cat. I hope they paid her well.

Hope Helen and DS are having a good day. And everyone else for that matter.

We had a good day - climbing wall fun. then I stopped at a local shop and got DS some school shoes in the sale. I found some fabulous boots in the wrong size, so I am scouring the internet for the right boots, let alone the right size!

Have mostly washed and ironed today. Watched all episodes of Howards End. Was glorious.

Hurrah! Found the boots and ordered them. Obvs they don't have the correct (half) size that I want, but hopefully the next one up will fit. Or, on usual form, it won't and I'll have to return them

Love the idea of Buffy as BondCat. I think that FancyCat is actually a super villain - so in her case she has a tiny bald man to stroke as she plots world domination

I don't think either of my cats could be bothered to be a supervillain. They might stretch to sitting on one and being stroked, but from what I remember, they have to look alert and supercilious while they're being stroked, which is far too much effort for my two

Have done sod all today apart from go out and chat and shop. Will top up drinks on the bar - as needed for people busy taking down decorations and doing DIY...

Diet and pilates start on Monday so eating up all the lovely Xmas food
I share your annoyance re half sizes helen I'm a 4.5 and it's very rare I can get my size
