The teepee baby shower wasn't actually in a teepee, but would have felt less incongruous had it been. On the plus side, it was not grabby - no presents required. On the negative side - no alcohol. Just some fairly rank herbal tea.

Ought to get moving as I need to cram as much of the Christmas tree into my green bin as I can.

The other thing the the internet as told me (and I forgot to report back) is that the next Cormoran Strike DVD is out in March (I think it was) and there was debate as to whether they'd use the DVD release publicity to double up as publicity for the next series... all open to debate still anyway, other than the DVD release date on 26th March.

We have had deconstructed shepherds pie for tea (i.e. mince and mashed spud) Inconvenient Cat is currently inflitrating my lap while Stupid Cat snores in my ear on the back of the sofa.

So, baby showers seem to involve playing 'pin the dummy on the baby', 'guess the sex/weight' sweepstake (winner bets to be the first babysitter) and 'baby bingo' (a bit like bullshit bingo, but less sweary). Plus gossiping and general chatter, food and drinks. Fairly inoffensive but yes, I'd usually do pressies after safe arrival of sprogs. (Horse before cart, etc)
