We did not watch Graham Norton. I did not do washing. We bought a new hoover.

Yesterday evening was actually quite fun though. Played lots of bananagram, scrabble and some other weird but very entertaining snap-type game called dobble. whist other people did the SportingActivity Much fun had until the end when DH fell over very spectacularly and ended up with a suitably spectacular bruise/friction burn from the fall. Think he has also sprained his thumb. Got home quite late. DH hurt, so obviously went straight to bed stayed up watching F1 qualification

Today we are meant to be meeting friends for a walk. DH will be staying put. Thanks for warning re. Gunpowder. I will have a handy cushion on standby to hide behind when we get round to watching.

Ought to turf Inconvenient Cat off my lap and get breakfast really...

Been out to see MIL. Back home and we’ve been measuring DS2’s room. I’ve already done all this and previously explained all my ideas of what will and won’t fit to DH. So now we’ve measured together and he’s now explaining everything back to me like he’s the first person to have ever thought of it.

Also his plan is we’ll just empty everything out of the room (possibly a week or two in advance), strip the paper, get it re-plastered, decorate and get everything back in whilst DS2 is away on a residential trip in a few weeks. Thing is there’s a problem round the window frame on one side with damp. Also, I’ve asked where all the stuff is going to go and who’s going to take some time off work. Didn’t really have an answer to that.

We didn't watch Strictly, but I caught up with bits of it on the iPlayer. So what happened to Bruno? I don't buy the too busy explanation.

Will try Gunpowder tonight. What is it with all the horror stuff? I want to be entertained, not hide behind the sofa. I still haven't recovered from the last episode of Outlander. We're also watching The Handmaid's Tale and that's almost as bad.

I shall use our new cordless hoover to get the leaves our of my hair LetUs. DH's partial justification for the hoover was that it would make it easier to hoover the cars. Since when have we ever bothered hoovering the car(s) - once a year?! Oh well...
To be fair, it's more likely to be sand than leaves in my hair since we ended up at the beach (think rather than 'Here to Eternity') And it was typically dreich and Octoberish. And DH came along too in the end, which was nice, but meant that Athos has to stay at home after all. (#deluded)

Do we need to send Vinnie to Chateau Letus to deal with chronic Mansplaning?

Apparently there was a clash with Dancing With The Stars Apricot. Whether they changed what night they usually show it, I don’t know. Also whether any of that is true, I also don’t know

Vinnie won’t be needed thanks Helen. DH has done homemade burgers which were flipping delicious so he’s fine —for now—. Beach sounds autumnal. At least Athos will have had chance to recover.
