Queen's , not 8queen's*

Daren't even open my eyes enough to glance at the keyboard, just in case . . .

QueenMorpheacadoChamelepen · 22/07/2017 17:44

Why thank you. Lovely job on the squashing. I do think the black neck to ankle hooded rope was a bit much though, I usually only wear this for funerals and the odd ritual sacrifice

SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/07/2017 09:00

May I say how very nice you look with your clothes on today, you Maj.

You are positively blooming.

paxillin · 23/07/2017 09:26

This lurid pink cape with the pale pink fur trim isn't what's left of the crimson velvet and ermine robes, is it? Don't think they were supposed to go in the dryer.

OP posts:
SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/07/2017 13:25

'Scuse ME!, Pax - It wasn't ME who put them in on a boil wash and peddled from here to eternity to keep them bubbling away for umpteen hours!

The dryer may have "fluffed" the trim, but it certainly didn't cook any colour out.

paxillin · 23/07/2017 15:30

Let's not tell her. We just say we bought a more, erm, modern garment for an up-to-date queen.

OP posts:
SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/07/2017 20:22

Good idea Pax.

We'll tell her the pink fur is from designer-bred acrylics available solely for the Monarch market.

Crimson velvet is very over-rated anyway. The bright neon pink matches her complexion suits her better

paxillin · 23/07/2017 23:11

Picked up a sparkly tiara which is clearly made in China exotic at the Tower of London giftsgop to go with the robes. It'll look like a proper outfit. Shoes? Poundland or Asda?

OP posts:
paxillin · 23/07/2017 23:12

Giftshop ffs. Never been to the giftsgop.

QueenMorpheacadoChamelepen · 23/07/2017 23:31

I read it as gitshop anyway so it doesn't matter. Is that sparkly thing for me?!

paxillin · 23/07/2017 23:34

Your new crown to match the new gown, Your Maj. Schadenfreude has just popped out to get matching shoes.

QueenMorpheacadoChamelepen · 24/07/2017 00:00

Ooh 3/4 length, I didn't know they made robes that style how'd I look?

paxillin · 24/07/2017 00:11

Fabulous. 3/4 length so you can show off the fishnet stockings.

Here -

I was all over Mortificado curating these to add a pop of sparkle to your ensemble. They are artisanal . . .

Please feel free to pair them back with a few regal pieces from last summer's winter edit and a bold red lip with an iconic smokey eye for night-time, so you can totally style your look.

paxillin · 24/07/2017 15:14

Good Lord they are, erm, bright. Bet they glow in the dark.

In RL news, I made this Monday part of the weekend, unfortunately so did the brood.

OP posts:
SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/07/2017 15:19

Courageous attempt re: Monday Pax.

You took one for the team.

The shoes are rather - er, striking - aren't they?

They herein the sale bin. I don't know why.

paxillin · 24/07/2017 15:28

Sales bin items at the Disney store still cost a King's ransom no doubt.

How long are these holidays and how feral will the kids be again? I suppose I'll recapture and tame them in the last week of August or something. Today: leftover cake for breakfast, pyjamas until 1, eating out since food at home didn't appeal and now video games. Bedtime not long before midnight, naturally. No washing of any description took place. They'd fit right in at Mortificado.

OP posts:
SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/07/2017 15:41

Cake for breakfast!!!!!!!!

paxillin · 24/07/2017 15:46

Bring popcorn. We have plenty of tooth-achingly sweet lemonade and still half a triple choc cake. When will you require re-capture and taming Grin?

(Her kids have been to the museum and practised their instruments)

OP posts:
QueenMorpheacadoChamelepen · 24/07/2017 16:40

These shoes are a bit pinchy

Well I actually like looking at dead things museums but practicing instruments? No way. Cake and pyjamas are far superior, I'd say you're doing alright.

paxillin · 24/07/2017 16:50

Plenty of cake. We're just protecting the kids' teeth. It's the least we can do. Plus it's too early for gin and we're out of prok.

OP posts:
paxillin · 24/07/2017 16:53

I quite like looking at dead things and broken pots, too. Kids inform me this is a middle aged pastime and slaughtering mortal enemies on a game station is more relaxing and life is hard enough and the school year was long. So I am reduced to chucking food in their general direction every few hours.

OP posts:
QueenMorpheacadoChamelepen · 24/07/2017 17:11

Yeah well what do kids know. I can slaughter digital enemies like a pro and still enjoy a wander round a room full of dead things. Not so keen on pots but people do take me to look at ancient sex toys, so that's a thing. Anyway I think my opinion wins on account of actually having made a game, what have you done, kids?! it was about a moose trampling wildlife

paxillin · 24/07/2017 17:14

A game about a moose trampling wildlife Grin? How very Mortificadan.
