I can never bring myself to do that! I'll buy mini eggs tomorrow.

SassynSane · 31/03/2017 22:03

Arghhh Bath, you've made me feel worse now! It's terrible especially as she's with exDP...next time she goes she'll be packing up her chocolate and taking it with her! Had huge choc craving but v bad...will have to replace Blush

BathshebaDarkstone · 01/04/2017 06:12

Morning! In bed, just heard DS2 cough.

Sorry Sassy, I didn't mean to make you feel bad, I just really couldn't do it! DH OTOH... Grin I bought DD a box of Thornton's chocolates and rationed her to 2 a day on the Saturday, DH had been watching football in the pub, after I'd gone to bed he ate nearly a whole box, she'd only eaten 2, the next day at supper time I'm going "where's the chocolates?" It was too late to buy any more as Sainsbury's shuts at 4 on a Sunday, she had a 99 instead, he owed me £9! He gets a chocolate craving when he's pissed. He thought they were left over from Christmas. I now mark all boxes of chocolates with the names of the recipients in permanent marker! Grin

Morning!

Manic day yesterday, plus my lovely DM came round as they're going to the States to visit my brother and his family next week.

DS2 definitely seemed unwell yesterday, but slept through last night and looks better this morning.

DD2 is off to a Brownies sleepover today, just realised she needs a packed lunch!!!

Oh and our sofa broke so now DH has to go to IKEA for a new one 😩.

Still, it's Saturday and the school holidays are here!!!

Have a good one!

Morning Brew

Bath all is not lost. I have to go chocolate shopping this morning as got to get some Easter gifts for school from the PTA so will replace DDs chocolate. Can't even use drinking as an excuse like your DH

Malcolm hope you also slept through the night? Glad to hear DS2 is brighter. Gaaah re sofa! Hope DH gets that sorted soon.

Hope you both have a good Saturday. Looking forward to my cocktails and steak later Wink

BathshebaDarkstone · 01/04/2017 19:07

Had breakfast in the Sainsbury's café, the DC had kids' breakfasts, I had a cheese and ham omelette, had spaghetti bolognese for supper, the kids were in bed by 6.30. GrinGin

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 01/04/2017 22:52

I've just had a phone call from DD2 in tears saying she misses me (the Brownie leader is one of my close friends and so let her use her phone). Now I'm worrying about her, she's quite a sensitive little soul and I persuaded her not to take her special toy in case he got lost - it's a big sleepover with thousands of Brownies there. I feel rubbish. Sad

Such a busy day as well, DD2 had to be dropped off at the pick up point at 8.15, DD1 had to be at ballet for 8.45, then DH and DS1 spent all day going back and forth to the tip with our old three piece suite and then to IKEA for the new sofa. He also got some funky floor lamps and a nice coffee table.

It was a bit of a mission getting everything in and out of the house, the angle of our front hall to the living room meant that it had to go through the house to the back French doors, through the dining room and family room. The table had to be moved and all the children's toys moved out of the way - plus the babies, who were thrilled at the sight of all these open doors they could suddenly attempt to get through!!!

I later spent an hour and a half ironing the flipping sofa covers Angry. We didn't get done and have dinner until gone 8.30.

Plus DS2 is still unwell, no temperature, just lots of runny nappies and really unhappy, just needing to be cuddled lots.

And DD3 also looks like she may be coming down with it...😩

On the plus side, I built them a really cool den out of the box the sofa came in!!!

Tomorrow is going to be a lazy day.

Have a good one!

Just home from cocktail night! Somehow think my day is also going to be somewhat lazy Grin Catch up properly later!

BathshebaDarkstone · 02/04/2017 05:46

Morning! Drinking coffee and watching BBC world news. GrinBrew

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 02/04/2017 08:28

Morning! DS2 slept through, but is still very clingy and tearful this morning. He's had his bottle and is starting to crawl around.

Sassy, you sound like you had a great evening! 🍸 Hope you're not suffering too much this morning!

How are things with you, Bath? Has the clocks going forward last week affected the DC's sleep? I remember you said you were worried it might. How's BathsLad doing, has he finished his last round of chemotherapy yet?

DD2 is due back in a couple of hours. It's silly, because it's only been a day, but I've really missed her!

Morning Brew Feeling a little bit fragile this morning

Big cuddles for DD2 later Malcolm. Bless her, I think my DD would be exactly the same. And not silly to miss her. I miss DD every time she's with her dad. Hope you manage your lazy day today and that DS2 begins to feel better!

Need to pull myself together as need to do some domestics and also need to replace DDs chocolate still as couldn't find the one she had yesterday. Def require a few Brew first before starting my day though. Bath hope you enjoy your PJ day Smile

SassynSane · 03/04/2017 09:16

Morning! How's you both today? How were your Sundays? Had a lovely sunshiny walk yesterday with a friend to chase away my hangover. When DD got home yesterday spent a chunk of time crafting for her Easter garden model which has to go to school this week. I can see my whole place sparkling in the sunshine at the mo owing to the amount of glitter we used Grin. Last few days of school then a break. Can't wait!

Hope you both have a good Monday!

BathshebaDarkstone · 03/04/2017 09:36

Morning! I woke up at 5, the DC woke up at 6.30, had coco pops granola, the DC are having pigs in blankets, sausage rolls and massive strawberries for their morning snack, watching Power Rangers. Hmm Going to Sainsbury's café for lunch today. Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 03/04/2017 10:07

We went to the park until suppertime yesterday. Grin

SassynSane · 03/04/2017 11:17

Park in PJ's Bath? Grin Perfect park weather yesterday. Enjoy your lunch!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 03/04/2017 14:03

Crikey! Can I start today all over again pleased??

It began so promisingly, I was able to get up, showered and dressed before the babies started fussing (if I don't do it early then by the time I get them up, fed, dressed, sort out the washing, etc it can be 10 o'clock!).

Got babies up, dressed, milk, breakfast - all good. Then the carnage started!!!

The shopping arrived looking like a chimp had packed it (and they'd probably have done a better job!) and the cream had split and gone over the entire bag of fridge stuff - all things I needed for lunches and dinners. Some of it dripped on the rug before the driver noticed. I had to try and wash up the shopping!

In the midst of that I had a problem arise at work which needed sorting straight away (I run my own business) and then a chap from my (hopefully!) new cleaning company turned up. The house was a tip, there was shopping everywhere, including on the draining board! I had to reassure him that it wasn't always like this!!!

Then after I'd finally got everything sorted, I made the two youngest lunch, went to change their nappies and DD3 had soaked through, which required a full change of clothes and then DS2 weed all over me whilst I was changing him!!!!

Happy days! 😂

Malcolm, sounds like a comedy of errors round yours today! I am drinking a calming latte and eating some baklava whilst DD in club. Highly recommend it for stress relief! Grin Hope calm all restored now? And your home and you are now cream and wee free! LOL! Happy days indeed Wink

BathshebaDarkstone · 03/04/2017 18:19

Met DM in the Sainsbury's café for lunch, DS2 had chicken nuggets, chips and peas, DD had macaroni cheese, DM had a tuna baguette, I had a ham salad baguette, the DC had double chocolate choux buns for pudding, DM had a chocolate bunny lollipop, dropped the DC and DM back home, did shopping, back home, had shepherd's pie for supper, putting DS2 to bed, DD will go straight after. GrinGin

Good for you lovely!!

Hey girls. New here, not really sure how to use this yet so please let me know if I'm posting in wrong place. Will be nice to chat to people, i'm 7 months gone. Getting really tired again... and unfortunately partner left months ago, no support but need some adult conversation. X

SassynSane · 03/04/2017 21:32

Welcome! Lots of places on MN for you to wander round on. "Chat" is good to well, um, chat. There's a Newbies corner. There's Relationships. Am also LP and am on a thread in OTBT with other LPs. One tip I'd def give you though is change your NN to something people can use and get to know. Lots of User's on the site and much easier to recognise folk and chat with a proper NN. It's a huge site so depending on your interests you'll def find something to keep you amused Smile
