So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?

Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.

I don't think BathsLad's made it to the Lego shop yet, DS2's already asked him to buy him a Ninjago T-shirt when he goes!

He's not allowed to have anything spicy as it does weird things to the chemotherapy.

Bath, maybe a trip to the Lego shop is something you can combine with your celebration of Christmas in June? And your Christmas dinner absolutely has to include Zinger fries!!!

Alas, I did not get much time sitting down and crocheting yesterday! By the time I'd finished all my boring jobs it was time to give the babies their lunch. Then when they were in bed the stupid washing machine kept beeping at me telling me to hang more washing out! Bloody persistent, that thing!

I eventually did manage to get one square done, for a blanket for DD and then this morning looked at the pattern and discovered that I hadn't read the entire thing and so all the colours were wrong! 😩 That'll teach me. More haste, less speed! Oh well, I shall look on it as a practice square!

Bought DS2 some new school shoes, how does he keep getting holes in the soles?????? I had scrambled eggs and bacon this morning.

Malcolm I think Zinger fries may be on the forbidden list of spicy foods that react with the chemotherapy.

Went to the Sainsbury's café, I had a meatball wrap, DD had a chicken salad sandwich, DS2 had chicken nuggets, chips and peas, they shared a double chocolate choux bun and a chocolate muffin for pudding.

I know Sassy particularly considering how much he loves it.

I'm going to make him the hottest curry in the world when he goes into remission!

I was in a supermarket earlier and bought myself some gorgeous cheddar cheese with scotch bonnet chillies in it & it made me think of BathsLad. Ate some this eve, really lush, if he likes cheese too am sure he'd like it - another remission treat maybe? Really hoping you get that news sooner rather than later Bath

I've had that cheese, Sassy! Yum. I'm very partial to a nice bit of cheese, but try not to have it too often, as it brings me out in spots 😞.

Bath, I had no idea that certain foods can interfere with chemotherapy. I wonder why/how? But poor BathsLad, it's adding insult to injury - I know you've said several times how much he loves his spicy foods. A massive curry in celebration when he is in remission sounds like a fantastic idea! How's he doing, anyway? Has he made it home yet?

DD1 is at a sleepover tonight 🙌🏻. Thank God!!! She's being utterly vile towards me because I had the cheek to suggest that, at nearly 13 years old, she could wrap her friend's present. Apparently, that makes me the worst mother EVER! Don't you just love teenagers?!

BathsLad's still in hospital as he's got a chest infection.

Oh bugger, Bath, I was hoping that wasn't the case. Hope he's able to get home soon.

I think DH got the scotch bonnet cheddar from Tesco, but Waitrose also do a version which is just as, if not even more, spicy!

Continuing my headless chicken impression at work today but it's FRIDAY! Yaaaay!

Sassy, Waitrose also do a rather yummy Double Gloucester and Chives...

The teenage years aren't all bad, don't worry! It's actually really cool seeing them grow up into the adult that they'll become (at least I keep telling myself that when I'm being shouted at!!! 😂).

Drooling at my desk Malcolm! Will try and recall your positive sentiment in a few years time and resist the urge to yell back!

Picked the DC up, went to McDonald's with DS2's friend and his mum, the DC had cheeseburger happy meals, I had an El Spicy meal, the DC had 99s for pudding, we're all in bed now apart from DH who probably fall asleep on the sofa as usual!

Morning! In the Sainsbury's café, the DC had junior breakfasts, I had a big breakfast.

Met my DM in the Sainsbury's café for lunch, DS2 had chicken nuggets, chips and peas, DD had macaroni cheese, DM had a mega brunch, I had a ham and cheese panini, the DC had double chocolate choux buns for pudding, dropped them back home, did shopping, back home, had steak au poivre and mash for supper, the DC did reading and homework then bed, I've been in bed for about an hour and a half.

BathsLad's very sleepy at the moment Sassy. It'll take about 2 weeks to kick the infection. I pass on everyone's good wishes to him.

Hope he's comfortable Bath and that the Lego/laptop are helping to distract him when he's up to using them. Hope he gets a good night's sleep and is brighter in the morning.

And on that note off to bed this end. Long day....with a hint of teenage years to come. Completely forgot your earlier positive sentiments Malcolm and there was a bit of a melt down. Ah well, tomorrow is another day Night all!
