Nooo - I've not been put off and I promise not to be a wuss in future! Dark hair, grey DKNY Tshirt and tatty greyish combat trousers. Um (hangs head in shame) sitting on the round table next to you with the blonde mother (and father) with 2 girls and blonde nanny with red headed girl & blond boy!

Gulp!

Yes, yes, I know I'm pathetic but I just can't shake this shyness off! You'd never believe it from some of my posts on here though...

jodee · 04/10/2002 18:56

Ahh, I think I know now - you look nothing like the Soupdragon!

How about you and sb34 arrange something next time?

(ps, I'm pretty shy underneath, too!)

Tinker · 04/10/2002 18:57

SoupDragon - that IS funny!

SoupDragon · 04/10/2002 19:45

So, I'm not all green and knobbly? Phew!

I left home in a hurry this morning but I did try to track down my toy Soup Dragon in case I was feeling brave. I could only find a Clanger though.

We'll definitely have to come up with another date for the Playbarn. There'll be no hiding from me in future.

Everyone who reads this thread knows I'm a fraud now! My real persona is nothing like Soupdragon!! I'll have to change my ID.

Monnie · 04/10/2002 20:10

Glad you got the mesage on time, Jodee. My friend is coming to terms with the burglary, although still only sleeping about 2 hours a night because of fear.

Pretty clever ruse, Soupdragon.

Very intrigued now and looking forward to meeting you at future get-togethers(don't know how to do the smiley faces, otherwise would put one in here)

Monnie · 04/10/2002 20:15

Forgot to say, hope you had a good time and thanks, Bumblelion, for thinking about passing on my message.

sb34 - that's the last time I bail you out of an emergency then! Pah!

ps good news about DD! Has she got a smile as well? Even a tiny one???

sb34, great news about your dd!

Bumblelion · 09/10/2002 10:39

Only just been able to log on, and wanted to say thanks Jodee for meeting up on Friday.

Soupdragon - you should have come over and said hello, although I know it can be embarrassing to meet people for the first time. I felt a bit strange to walk into the play barn without knowing who I was going to meet (bit like a blind date) but glad I managed it.

It was nice to put a face to a name and, if another meet up is arranged, count me in.

P.S. Jodee - Luke is absolutely gorgeous - I want those eyes and eye lashes!

SoupDragon · 09/10/2002 11:19

Yes, yes, I know I should have come over - I do feel really embarrassed about it. I can't help being shy though I actually arrived in the carpark at the same time as you both too.

Actually, had Jodee been a super detective, she would have spotted the car with the personalised number plate (knows my surname from emails) and knowing (I think) that I'd been to Florida, spotted the tanned boys in designer T shirts and the mum with the Virgin Atlantic change bag

Had either of you been "stood up" completely, I would have come over, honest! I'm not so shy I wouldn't rescue someone

And why do little boys always have eyelashes to die for??

Very embarrassed SoupDragon, hanging her head in shame...

I can make Wednesdays and Fridays.

jodee · 09/10/2002 12:55

Aww, thanks Bumblelion - if I had a pound for every time someone mentioned his lashes, I'd be loaded! Yessss, we must ALL do it again sometime - sb34 are you holding your hand up to arrange a date? I can do just about any day, but only alternate weeks (this is my week in at work).

Soupdragon, Sherlock Holmes I aint! I always miss the flaming obvious when it's staring me in the face! (And don't feel embarrassed either!).

SoupDragon · 09/10/2002 12:59

Thursdays I do nothing (it's the one day I have no commitments) and Friday's I'm at the PB in the morning anyway. Wednesday mornings are trickier as I go to a playgroup in the afternoon.

Any Wednesday or Friday is good for me, although I am in Gran Canaria next week and the week after (w/c 21st October) is half term. Not sure if the PB lets in older children on a Friday morning - mine are 9 and 5 (apart from the baby).

Let me know what it is decided.

SoupDragon · 14/10/2002 15:58

Anybody here jealous of Bumblelion having escaped this miserable, misereable weather? Anyone at all...?

The PB doesn't have the toddler sessions in half term so older children are allowed in by the way.

jodee · 14/10/2002 17:54

No - not at all, Soupdragon! (I'm fibbing, of course!)

sb34, that sounds good to me (don't mind what time).

Monnie, Peanut and Dizzymummy - I hope you will be able to make it this time, be great to meet you all.

Dizzymummy · 16/10/2002 08:55

That should be good for me! - will be really nice to meet up

Mo2 · 16/10/2002 10:46

Hi Jodee - sorry for not replying to your earlier posts about this meet up, but I haven't been on line much and to be honest forgot about this thread until I'd missed the first meet up!
Hopefully I can make the 1st too - would be good to meet some of you.
