So, we went to see DBS and enjoyed it very much. We sat at the back because I think you get a better all-round view of the screen. When it started I was a bit worried because the screen is smaller than an actual stage and I thought that there would be just one camera on the whole thing. But no, there were cameras focussed on the parts of the stage where the action was taking place and there were close-ups, so in many ways it was like a film.

The set is very clever. I don't think I'm giving anything away by saying that it depicts a flat in a block, and you can see the other occupants moving around. Helen McCrory is awesome, she's in almost every scene. She's a strong woman brought down by love and she seemed so small and vulnerable beside Freddie and Bill, her husband, and her desperation is heart-breaking.

And OMG, Tom is amazing. And gorgeous! His stage voice is so powerful. My hearing isn't the best, but I never missed a word. I caught bits of Athos in him from time to time which made me giggle. And there are some naughty bits in it as well! I so wanted to screencap it, but it just wasn't the thing to do. So, whoever is going to see it live, you're in for a treat and give Tom a hug from me.

Yes, my mouth did drop open once or twice. Their chemistry is very good and realistic, just shows what excellent actors they both are.
