Maths homework done. DH did most of the helping/supervising. I did a bit and of course got shouted/screamed at. Gosh I've missed homework so much said no one ever. Am going to get back in touch with GP, re-read CAMHS website, phone the other place, and look up some other stuff too. Bit knackered at the moment.

Evening. I have managed not to eat chocolate despite homework traumas. Then I did the stepper thing and some stretching - with Inconvenient Cat trying to join in. (If I'm on the floor, I obviously it's because I want to make a fuss of him, and if I'm balancing on one leg, then I must want him to wind himself round that leg... )

Madame out vet told us to stop giving dried food to Inconvenient Cat - but then he had bladder problems and we needed to get as much water into him as possible... damned either way as far as I can see.

We caught up on Our Girl last night and about half-way through an enormous spider scuttled in front of the TV. I was out of the room before I could say "Oh look, there's Luke in the shower". About 20 minutes later its mate appeared. I hate to kill them - well I don't kill them, I'm at the other end of the house - but at least they're in spider heaven together.

Anyway, someone asked about Our Girl. It's very good, Luke is excellent in it and hot.

If you do switch to dry madame, be aware that a purely dry diet (especially the cheap stuff) is associated with increased urinary tract problems, particularly in male cats who can be prone to blockages. And the benefit to teeth is contested - cats don't chew their dry food, as you notice when they vom it up, most of it comes back up whole . Not sure what he's being fed atm, but you could also try him on a grain free diet? Butchers Classic is often recommended as a low cost choice.

Thanks fancy - you ARE the queen of the litter tray. I was a bit about the dry food / teeth thing - was going to research it. My cats when I was growing up all got ill if they were fed just dry food. One died of kidney stuff and my mum blames the dry food / thinks it is spawn of satan. So Ive been reducing his wet food rather than 100% dry. He is now not splatty so fingers crossed...

You're welcome madame and interesting to note your childhood cats' experiences too. Mine get fed both as dry is convenient if I want to go away for the night. They have grain-free wet and dry (despite my vets advice for the 'tooth cleaning stuff' ) & ScaredyCat was complimented on her coat at her last visit. Her teeth are fine too. I save money by buying in bulk off the internet so it doesn't work out any more pricey than the usual brands from the supermarket.

Bit of a shitter of a day today. I so enjoyed being screamed - actually screamed - at by a nine year when I was trying to help with homework. A particular highlight was being called a big fat jerk. I also found it such fun when said nine year kicked off massively this morning because, after plenty of warning, DH turned the TV off so they wouldn't be late leaving the house. Such fun.

A dr once told me to record stuff and take pics of things to as its helps the referral process and the dr to actually see/hear what's happening.
