Hello Quootie - thought we should start a new thread.

Will be thinking about you tonight. Hope you can get some rest. Could you try having a bath or something? Can really help me to un-wind.

Quootie - at ILS and very sporadic internet access but just wanted to say I hope today went OK and you found a way to have a happy Christmas at least a bit - hope DS enjoyed all those presents too!

Talk to you soon. x.

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 26/12/2006 08:45

Went OK thanks. Morning was good, so was mass, but then I gave in and went to MILs and after that I was shattered the rest of the day, and didn't feel "right". I kept telling DH "we'll have a drink later...." incase he needed to go to out of hours GP. I was so tired in the end I fell asleep when I put DS to bed and didn't get to have an time to relax! Hopefully ill last a little longer today! DS loved his rocking horse... but the file is too pig to post a pic. on here

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 11:18

Rung them first thing, they are ringing back. Made it though!!!!!!!!!!

lulumama · 27/12/2006 11:19

glad you got through it ok...are you feeling more positive at the moment?

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 11:21

ummmmm.... I guess, because im always putting all my hope into things! Stay away from this thread about 5pm if they havent rung though!

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 12:14

16th January. She asked if I was feeling any better, I said no. She asked if I still felt id do the same... I said yes. So she's getting someone to ring next week aswell to make sure im OK. What a J O K E And this appointment is to discuss what they can do in the short term until I get the proper help! Well, that's it then. Only another 3 weeks to go.

merrylissiemas · 27/12/2006 12:40

hi quootie, its pants isnt it? rapidly losing faith in the nhs at the mo

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 12:43

So am I... Looks like ill have to give up BFing and go on medication, just to get me through. I mean, people don't realise it's a life threatning illness, with CURES... it so treatable, and they are delaying that treatment. Well, I hope they get a great big kick up the arse, and these threads are published if I do OD again. 3 days was pure torture, never mind 3 weeks.

merrylissiemas · 27/12/2006 12:45

is there no ad that can be used while bfing?

merrylissiemas · 27/12/2006 12:46

here

lulumama · 27/12/2006 12:47

THERE ARE ADS YOU CAN TAKE WHEN BREASTFEEEDING

also, you say , if you OD again'..if you are feeling suicidal, you need to make that abundantly clear.....

merrylissiemas · 27/12/2006 12:50

paxil is sertraline i think, just the usa name. im on sertraline and its v good

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 12:50

lulu - I think I need a great big whack of medication, go the whole hog. Back on diazepam, sleeping tablets and ADs. He's 9 months today, so... maybe it's time to be a little selfish and try and accept I did my best.

I made it perfectly clear to them, she sort of said "oh dear". And asked if she put the crisis number in the letter.

merrylissiemas · 27/12/2006 12:51

got a good mind to email this thread to the nhs website.

lulumama · 27/12/2006 12:51

i suppose it is weighing up how giving up breastfeeding before you are ready, will make you feel, compared to the ADs etc you can take while you are feeding......

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 12:54

thats a good point lulu.... I have thought about it, when GP said I might have to give up to change medication, and I thought the bad feeling of giving up BFing might outweight the good of the medication. Maybe ill try breastfeeding safe ADs first, then ill know I tried...

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 12:56

lol, Merry, feel free. If you do, don't forget the other one! I was always defending the NHS when people slagged it off etc., but, honestly, it IS the biggest load of clap trap sometimes. They know of at least 4 suicide attemps... not little ones either - I think im just very resilient!

merrylissiemas · 27/12/2006 12:59

lol, i nearly died while giving birth and twice after, i didn't even get an explanatiopn and my notes are inaccurate

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 27/12/2006 13:07

well, if we are having an NHS rant, they cocked up my abortion, forgot to give me a 2 week checkup, so I bled without any knowledge of the fact it wasn't normal, for 4 weeks, by then I was so weak, had to have a D & C and was on oxygen... being discharged, I said "do you think I need iron tablets?" "oh yeah...." said the doctor, popping off to go get me some. They should never have let me go home after that abortion, I fainted and was hemorraging... my own stupid fault I guess really, but im sure they have mishandled every aspect of my care.

Merry, im so sorry hun {{hugs}}. THIS is why I wanted to become some sort of politician... I just wish someone would do something before the NHS gets even worse!
