Our first time of hosting for the Day went very well, thanks to DH and his cooking skills. We've got people coming today too which I could do without as I'm knackered. Kept coughing to the point of nearly being sick in the night so came downstairs so DH could at least get some sleep. Went back up around 4.30 and managed to get some sleep.

Also need milk here. Need HBFs more.

Hello wenches. Yesterday went well but I was really knackered as DH put his back out and wasn't much help and nor was anyone else. Oh, and I appear to be doing it all again today, and had to go to Sainsbos as I'd run out of stuff. Think of me kindly etc.

FML etc - DS woke up n 12:30 am on Xmas morning and was "Never going to get back to sleep" so wanted to open presents now. Thank goodness for Santa and stockings - told Ds they wouldn't be filled if he tried to go and look at them. So from 12:30 to 5:50am he was in bed with us. HE slept... then got up to go back to his bad; came back in at 6am; went to get stockings at 6:15; opened stockings at 6:30. I confess my reactions may have been less than enthusiastic when he was opening stuff "Urgh. hmm. that's nice " Fortunately wonderful DH took over the child wrangling and let me sleep in a bit longer.

Hope everywench is having/had fun. Dr Who lego (and Xmas special) is highly recommended. Madame - if the HBF of your choice had been in Panto you'd have mugged people going in to get their tickets
