Who are the newbies?

I've only been on mn for a few months - August I think it was. Who else is a newbie? It's hard to tell from posts who is new and who is 'old'! Also, do any other newbies find

1 you can kill a thread stone dead with one flash of your nickname?

2 your threads fall off the active convos at an alarming rate

3 you spend ages thinking of something incredibly witty to say and no-one notices?

like the oldies were never newbies once ! this thread was started by FMG as a laugh about thread killing...and i think everyone posting on here has taken it that way....and oldies v/ newbies when not done tongue in cheek, is merely divisive and incendiary IMHO !

on a similar vein, i found one where people are playing game to answer unanswered threads ..in creative writing some one (new) was quite confused as post was just 'i baggsed this one'; this is like a caste system!! didn't have time to explain to poor person as rl took over

right.

TBH I think the number of posts defines how new you are. I don't think of some of these names as newbies as I think they are more prolific (or noticable) posters.
