You see I'm sure I was on the first "AIBU not to know which musketeer I'd boff first" thread, but can't remember what my username was at that time! (I was very pregnant at the time though).

I probably only made the odd one comment (probably that I didn't know if it would be D'Artagnan - not yet christened Dog - or Athos, as had somehow failed to notice Aramis despite THAT scene). So you won't remember me!

Madame - I only know that because it was Anne who redirected a lot of people to the Tavern from some other thread and explained her nickname had changed. I wasn't there lurking throughout series one! Or for any great deal of time. I just remember that particular thing.

But I remember the AIBU thread that I think started it off (although could be wrong)

Hi Helen thanks for trying to do my research! I was very pregnant at that time so possibly just thought about posting and never did. In fact I see it was three days before DS was born that thread started! I watched the first series in bits on catchup while breastfeeding in the middle of the night so that all fits. I was really grateful it was on, tbh!

Trying to think of something interesting to say about why I like Persuasive, and all I can think of is really liking the character of Anne. Also the fact that the central theme is still so true today - young people allowing themselves to be influenced by others against their own interest, and having to learnt to trust their own judgment.

We've probably all had something similar happen to us at one point or another, whether to do with love life, career or whatever.

Most people's names are still fairly recognisable but you won't find all of us on the first thread. (I think Norah knew when everyone first posted, at one point) I know I didn't actually post until the Tavern was running. I'll leave it to individuals if they want to out their previous names.

I'll tell you something for nothing though, I will never forgive them for leaving out the actual writing of the letter scene. It my opinion it is absolutely crucial to see him write the letter.

Well you know mine :-) I think I have variously been QueenAnneofAustriaSpain and other very similar names because I got locked out of MN and had to sign up again.

In which version do they leave out the letter writing? I haven't seen the Ciaran Hind version, and can't remember the RPJ version in much detail (that's why I was thinking of watching again).

There are some great names on MN, but I have never been able to think of a good one.

There was someone on AIBU called Wednesbury once, which I loved, because in legal cases Wednesbury unreasonable means so unreasonable that no reasonable person could ever make that decision.
