In the book, Theon and a Fake Arya (who was married off to Bolton Jnr) escaped to Stanis's side of the siege, with the aid of some Wilding spearwives.

I think Sansa is still at the Eyrie or at least with LittleFinger somewhere, and I don't think Stanis was killed - he was still sieging Winterfell and he def. didn't burn his own daughter in the book.

Arya killed a nights watch who was sent to the town (with Sam and Gilly & Manse Ryder's baby - who was written out for the TV) to drum up recruits but ended up drikning in taverns and deserting. She did end up being blind at the end of one book.

Also Varys and Tyrion weren't a double-act in the book (but I'm thoroughly enjoying that variation) - Tyrion ended up in a circus act (effectively) but I don't remember exactly where the books left him. Certainly not as an advisor to Danyris and running the city in her absence.

You-Know-Nothing-Jon-Snow did get knifed in the book.

Parents: due to DB health problems I will end up responsible for him too, but I know my cousins will help. Mum and dad have made it clear they expect no moving in but they do so much for us and I am not sure what else we would do. My dad gave up his job to look after my grandad and left us here for 6 months to let him pass away back home and that's after he had been a proper wanker to him. I worry that as the oldest DIL of a culture where extended family living is expected that I might end up with mil, but she hates me and I am not of aforementioned origin so won't be good enough, plus she has 7 other children and I am pretty sure SILs will never leave her.
