Hi wenches Smile

What's whit your husbands and their fucking whining??? Food costs money FFS!!! I think I spend around 300-350/month on food, hygienic stuff, catfood. It could probably be cheaper if my cats ate the cheap stuff and for myself I don't want to buy meat from certain countries which would be cheaper I guess.

You mean Måns Zelmerlöv? He's cute I guess but I think the song sucks. In Sweden he's called Måns mums-mums Zelmerlöv, the mums-mums meaning yummie-yummie, it's the name of a popular Swedish chocolate pastry sort of Smile

I know we don't usually start a new thread at 926 messages, but it's Eurovision carnage tonight and threads tend to go at top speed, so I'm getting prepared.

Dammit, was going to put a link here, but just realised I put 95 instead of 96 in the title. So have reported to MNHQ for a title change. Will post the proper link shortly.

It's pissing it down with rain here so I'm procrastinating before I have to go out shopping and to the library.

MadamedeChevreuse · 23/05/2015 13:26

Oh good thinking cinn well done.

AnneOfAramis · 23/05/2015 13:27

I have a mini bottle of champers from my old colleagues so I will be drinking that. DH out, but DS1 is talking about making a table for scoring.

AnneOfAramis · 23/05/2015 13:32

Oh and in the twat DH/food stakes. DH has refused to let me do an online shop because he wants to go to the supermarket - on friggin Tuesday!!!! He will buy bagels, donuts, biscuits, taramasalata, humus, kit kats but not one bit of fruit because we eat it too quickly Hmm I have started giving my parents the cash and they go to the Turkish supermarket and get meat, fruit and veg. No idea how much we actually spend.

ApricotCrush · 23/05/2015 13:34

Hello wenches.

Yes, Sparks where do you shop? I spend about £80 a week on two of us, and I don't buy expensive stuff. That does include wine though. DH has absolutely no idea about the price of food as he never buys any.

I don't normally watch Eurovision, it's too cringe-worthy and I don't think DH will watch it. I'll have to see.

Love 'No Time for Hats'.

Arf at Cinn carrying on the time-honoured wench tradition of cocking-up a new thread. Grin

Baddz · 23/05/2015 13:34

The commune is starting to sound better and better isn't it?

MadamedeChevreuse · 23/05/2015 13:37

anne if he ever gets the shits (probably not given low-fruit diet but hey), refuse to buy any loo roll and tell him it's cos he's using it too quickly.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/05/2015 13:38

Madame Grin

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 23/05/2015 13:54

Never watch Eurovision. It's so shit it put me into labour 11 yrs ago so NO.
I shop 2/3 Aldi, 1/3 Tesco. But I meal plan, meal plan, meal plan. So no popping to the shops midweek, cos that's when you easily end up spending another £30 on bits. But yes-it's Aldi that has made by FAR the biggest difference. Don't forget, 5 of mine are 6ft plus teen/preteen boys too!

Cinnamoncookie · 23/05/2015 14:10

Off out, as it's stopped raining. If anyone notices when MNHQ have changed the thread title, please could you post the link here ? Ta !

Cinnamoncookie · 23/05/2015 14:24

"That's not a problem - we've edited the thread title now. And what's even better, we did it before anyone commented on the thread saying you'd been an idiot ;)"

NEW THREAD HERE

FancyFancy · 23/05/2015 15:08

Afternoon.

Thank you madame, those fantastic pics have put a spring in my step Grin

We average about £90 pw for three, plus all regular cat expenses (food, litter, vacs & flea/worm treatment). Includes toiletries & cleaning stuff, but doesn't include school lunches. With only one adult in the house we don't get through that much alcohol. We're also lucky that our town has a weekly street market & the fruit & veg is very cheap compared to the supermarkets. Internet shopping is my saviour - it makes me meal plan & keeps me out of the shops & away from inpulse buys.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 23/05/2015 15:10

Yep, the top ups are the death of me my budget. Think will have to just accept that spending 2 or 3 hours on a weekly shop/ meanl plan is the way to go in order to save some money.

Sitting in the car outside home as Dd is snoozing. Been to town for her single jab, had a coffee and a croissant in a cafe outside Langham's. As we were walking round the town, I was tempted to go into one of those expensive place I used to go with her DF but reason prevailed.

She liked the look of Sketch (gosh, kids are not stupid, are they) and I've also always wanted to go there but I think you need to book well in advance.

Anyway, we picked up the car, she fell asleep and I got some petrol and then the prosecco from Lidl. Oh the high life. Will need to treat her to slap up meal one day, she'd love a posh reaturant Grin

FancyFancy · 23/05/2015 15:10

Lost part of my post Confused - we also don't get through that much meat since DD decided to be almost vegetarian. Our cheese bill on the other hand......

MadamedeChevreuse · 23/05/2015 15:14

Hahaha mnhq! You know us so well. Will you be popping by for eurowenchvisionwatch?

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 23/05/2015 15:19

I will have to disagree with you madame Grin We'd never call another wench an idiot! I'm offended, MNHQ.

MadamedeChevreuse · 23/05/2015 15:19

Ireland exit poll (and we know they dont lie) says yes - woo!

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 23/05/2015 15:21

Poland is theough, I think? So that's who we are supporting, no? HmmWink

MadamedeChevreuse · 23/05/2015 15:23

Well Ive been called worse on here drink!

However Im sure they didnt mean any offence. Grin

FancyFancy · 23/05/2015 15:24

But once you get into the habit of meal planning it won't take that long as you work out the things that are more efficient - e.g. roast chicken one night can be followed the next night by chicken risotto/chicken soup etc. (And no I can't make a tiddly chicken last more than 2 nights Grin ) Batch cooking takes some of the drudgery out of it too as it means at least some nights I just have to cook some pasta/rice/couscous & veg & reheat a sauce I've made previously.

Hope minidrink is ok after her vac

MadamedeChevreuse · 23/05/2015 15:25

Poland is what? drink have you started on the prosecco already?

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 23/05/2015 15:30

Through. You was talking about Eurovision, non?

FancyFancy · 23/05/2015 15:31

Poland will have to go some way to redeem themselves in my eyes after last year's Benny Hill-esque dodgyness

DD's friend has just come round, her mum is Swedish & was bigging up the Swedish entry. I think she was trying to hint at the chap being rather hot as tactfully as possible given her husband was there too Grin The last time we met we indulged in some Poldark appreciation, she is clearly a woman of some taste.

Anyhow, have gone looking & here he is
