Oh and Anne, I can find Dan Stone, but not him doing castles. Help?

MiladyBeaWinter · 27/04/2015 10:20

Oh hold on, did you mean Dan Jones? Oooh yes. And I'm reading his Plantagenets book at the moment.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/04/2015 10:21

I have lost could lose hours to those pictures.

.

We have to find these without the watermark, it ruins them. I think you'll find the picture library says that it protects their copyright and income stream Grin but it is a shame....

Didn't watch Poldark, and can't remember any of the plot (read the books years ago - college maybe?) but very glad I didn't see last night. I can't cope with mall children in peril/parental distress any longer Does anyone remember in the mists of time an ER episode where one of the Drs had a flash-back to their child dying unexpectedly of leukemia? I was an utter mess.... DH came back from playing footie and was horrified that something in RL was wrong, didn't expect me to be in flood of tears because a fictitious child in a TV drama had died Grin

Shall I put some washing on?

Helen I'm the same. I've never watched Broadchurch because of it being about the murder of a child. I got halfway through the first episode and had to turn it off. I don't read news involving child abuse, just can't deal with it. Fingers in ears and living in pink and fluffy land.

I did know she died last night though, so that muted it. And they did it gently. I still snotted a lot. Hmm

Lyndie · 27/04/2015 10:51

I think fictional stuff about children I can cope with, last night was terribly sad and I cried (DH too!) BUT I didn't feel we had such a big connection with poor wee Julia as much as other children in TV shows. It was awful but beautifully done.

I am much worse with RL stuff, Baby P reports and things on the news.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/04/2015 11:13

Am stuck comparing financial spreadsheets and adjustments
Just saying...

apricot you could just buy the photo yourself? Grin (possibly)Then it wouldnt have the watermark...

Gargh, I didnt want to know that stuff about the future of poldark. Making ross a rapist would clearly be insane. But I dont want him to have consensual sex with elizabeth either.

It's roight put I off series 2 now.

MadamedeChevreuse · 27/04/2015 11:31

I cant deal at all with sad / bad stuff happening to kids either. I agree, it wasn't as emotively done as it could have been last night with little julia, but it still made me cry anyway.

Baddz · 27/04/2015 11:34

No idea wrt poldark as I haven't watched it.
Sounds sad :(
Fuck me, those pics of Tom!
Love.y sunny say so obv shed Loads of asking being done...2 loads on line, 2 left to do
Have hoovered, mopped and ironed and been to shops so far this morning.
I am watching outlander on Amazon instant ATM...anyone else? HBF in kilts. Very nice.

MadamedeChevreuse · 27/04/2015 11:35

WHO THE HELL IS THIS DAN CASTLES PERSON???

Tbh I wasnt that desperate to know at first, but now he's proving so hard to pin down, my curiosity is piqued.

Castle wenches, when you work out who he is, please post a pic of him! Flowers

Baddz · 27/04/2015 11:37

Agree wrt sad things and kids :(
Sophie's choice is one of my fave films. Can't watch it since I had dc. Ditto books like the lovely bones.
I can't watch news reports about abuse etc.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/04/2015 11:47

Madame, I think it's this one

OP posts:
MiladyBeaWinter · 27/04/2015 11:53

Yup that one. Here is a clip.

Don't mind if I do....

MadamedeChevreuse · 27/04/2015 11:57

Ooooh Mr Castles. Very nice. Gaydar is pinging a bit, but anyway.

The Lovely Bones - bloody hell, the trauma. Brilliantly written though. Glad I read it before I had ds.

Baddz · 27/04/2015 12:01

Ran out of pegs!

Might go for a walk to the village and get pegs.

Purple is also my fave colour btw :)

MadamedeChevreuse · 27/04/2015 12:07

Nope, actually he's married with kids. It's just that it's 2015 and he's a man under 30. Grin

MavisGrind · 27/04/2015 12:08

Crisis averted.

Baddz · 27/04/2015 12:48

Elk :)
Sorry about your little friends!
Picking dn up too after school.
GofT tonight!! :)

ApricotCrush · 27/04/2015 13:04

Madame I love Tom dearly, but I'm not paying for photos of him!

Child abuse affects me deeply. I don't sleep well, and I lie awake worrying about stuff I've seen or read. I'll change channels or go out of the room now if there's anything on the news.

Pheobe with her BAFTA. Very well deserved. Love her. Smile
