That's why I need the dcs to be away as I don't want to stop to eat, or be interrupted. I can keep going for hours (fnarr) without stopping for a break, so it's great for getting large jobs done. And I need to finish them whilst in that mood as when it ends my energy levels can crash.

Currently sitting with ds1 in Costa at London railway station waiting for the train home. On a whim bought day tickets for The Twits at the Royal Court, front row, only a tenner each. Train fare, lunch and series have come to much more. But worth it as good play and it has been a whe day without bickering children. Divide and conquer say I!

DH: Oh right. Oh - it'll be funny of they give him a tonsure, won't it?

I used to donate mine to the primary school next door, but they're got rid of the letterbox on the front gate, so am using that as a poor excuse to offer the few vouchers I have to you lot. If you get a name Cinn then let me know. The DC's school doesn't collect them, so at the moment I hand mine to the school secretary as a) I don't want them to go to waste b) I want her job if she ever leaves and c) I'm a creep. But would rather a mini-wench school got them.

Had a nice bank holiday with the DC. DH working so we did the ubiquitous castle and ice cream, followed by a trip to the bottle bank to get rid of the evidence before my DPs come and stay in a couple of weeks. We save them up rather than go regularly, but was still there a long time . I blame wenches.

I may have watched Avengers Assemble again whilst googling the cast members...Really, the dcs shouldn't go away and leave me to my own devices.

We went out for a wander around Westminster and the Southbank today and had a lovely day. DS2 dropped the bomb shell that he wants to be a blacksmith when he grows up so we spent the evening researching.

Sparks that family convo is utterly and thoroughly classic. Just brilliant. I particularly like DH's acceptance of the existence of the Lego M's and just questioning of the sock bit. Love 'em, the boys are fantastically well trained. Gold Wench Medal for mothering there. I also love Anne's family's joint love of it all.

I've been quiet as during a row over texting at dinner on Saturday night, we had a family phone amnesty where we all left our phones at home and went for a lovely bike ride. And the really good bit it it only started raining when we were about 2 mins from returning home. Result. I have slight bum bruise despite my maxi gel saddle. Well not bum 'exactly'. Um. General undercarriage.

Carnage has been made of house ready for plasterers coming tomorrow. Glad I'm off to work from that point of view.
