In Floppers news, I've just bought this sofa...

The living room has been stripped bare and replastered. Having new everything for the first time....shame it's 4 weeks for the fireplace, 6 weeks for the sofas and floor and 10 weeks for the coffee tables. Can't wait to choose paint now. I've told DH that the theme is Scottish Hunting Lodge.

Though scottish hunting lodge makes me think of that old wine gums ad ('moose loose about this hoose') with Jamie Fraser perched on a green leather chair and lots of stag heads everywhere.

SIL and bf disappeared to help GFil use a cash machine in the next village over and never came back. We waited for them for about an hour to come back so we could say goodbye politely but the boys were getting too fractious. So we just went home.

badders flops and and other politico-wenchi, I've always voted Labour except when in NI (Alliance) or living in Tory/LibDem marginals. Last election I even leafleted for the incumbent Lib Dem as we were the Tory's fifth ranking target seat, and then wondered why I bloody bothered when they got into bed together. Prob. going to vote the same way here as the Labour votes last time were smaller than the winning gap, but with no great conviction, def tactical.

Oh and I voted Trotsky in a Euro election once in in Tory dominated region as I didn't want them to loose their deposit.
