Quiet on here today...

Lovely and sunny outside though, Have done a bit of gardening (flattening mole hills) and watering of parched pots before I got to work. And now I'm just a bit bored and would rather be outside doing stuff. Think I shall do some washing just because it will dry nice and quickly - hopefully.

Apparently I can expect 2 months of sensitive tooth after yesterdays fun and games. V. tedious.

I also seem to have a really bad habit of writing a message and forgetting to hit 'post'. Hmm

Baddz · 24/04/2015 11:37

2 loads on the line.
Dishes done, have dusted and cleaned the loos.
Waiting for Dh to get home then off to ikea.
I might watch LOTR battle of the 5 armies later whilst I iron.
And then more washing.

MiladyBeaWinter · 24/04/2015 11:48

Morning. Athos is back on the top of my timeline. Do you think MNHQ saw the read through photo and took pity on us? It is a bit mesmerising.....

We were within about 15 miles Madame, so close but not that close. I used to haul myself around most of the south east for a few years after I got fed up of commuting into London. Because being stuck in a car for long distances at the time appeared more attractive than beng stuck on the tube Hmm. The we saw sense and fled. DH has a 15 min drive to work The weather IS usually shit though.

Not today however, lovely again so legs out and so is washing. I might have to paint my toenails if this continues. I'm thinking deep blue with sparkles (nto).

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 24/04/2015 11:50

Badds That was actually quite funny, I hadn't a clue what you were on about there without sitting and thinking quite hard. FMLackOfShortTermMemory, yet again. Haven't quite got to the washing yet - oops...

I've just sent of a normal innocent sort of work email and appear to have unleashed a whole can of worms.... Confused

Enormouse · 24/04/2015 12:37

Morning all,

Inspired by badders I'm up to date on my laundry too. and the training thing sounds very promising.

Just sorting out the house a bit as we're off to a vintage bus rally tomorrow.

And if you have the time, there's a petition going round for the resignation of the NI health minister that needs more signatures Smile.

Baddz · 24/04/2015 12:38

Helen...oh no! :( hope it's not too stressful!

MiladyBeaWinter · 24/04/2015 12:47

Is that because of his comment re children in LGBT household's are more likely to be abused? So he should resign the bigoted fecking idiot. Angry

Where is the link Mouse? On twitter? I'll sign.

MadamedeChevreuse · 24/04/2015 12:47

Enormouse · 24/04/2015 13:10

Yep milady and his apology for the comments is so much worse. Apparently he meant all non stable, unmarried households are likely to produce abused or neglected kids. Irrespective of sexuality Angry.

Signed it and tweeted it Mouse. FMWAC.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/04/2015 13:40

Not too stressful Badders - the work thing wasn't my fault - someone else did something off the radar and I've inadvertantly brought it up, but it's not really a problem (I hope).

What is stressful is... FML... attention wenches with slightly older boys...

DS has been doing some secretive drawing in the past couple of days, hidden in his room. I just trundled in to strip his bed, and found a pile of little drawings and notes about how he's seen 'One-of-the-girls-in-his-class's bottom.' And some writing about 'pranksters' pulling down people knickers/hiding their clothes so they are naked. This latter bit reminded me of a game I found him playing recently on his computer (and gave him a telling off for) were you clicked on people in a picture to make them play tricks on each other - like hiding their clothes and pulling their clothes. He's also been playing dress-up games recently on the computer which I thought were the 'create/dress your own superhero' games, and was embarrassed about it because the site was aimed at girls.

So these drawing got me going Hmm and I went to 'his' computer and checked the history and he's done a search for 'dress-up games where you can make the cheerleader naked' OMFG.

I'm assuming (hoping) this is a combination of a changing-for-PE mishap for the girl at school, and curiosity levels/repeating playground stuff for the 'naked cheerleader'. but argh!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's six FFS.

We will be having a TALK and Very Strictly Supervised computer access for the forseeable. Have obviously got lax on that one.

AnneOfAramis · 24/04/2015 13:51

Helen, I don't know if you remember but I had similar issues with DS2 not so long ago where he was drawing similar pictures. I do think it's a phase and a learning curve and something that a little chat will sort out. It is disconcerting when it happens though.

AnneOfAramis · 24/04/2015 13:53

The big piece if writing was submitted. Copious prosecco was consumed. I am now sitting in my towel after a fry up and a long bath. Have accepted the new job, text potential new boss at work to tell him our lovely sincere relationship is over and emailed my resignation - now to organise leaving drinks for next week. Feeling good.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/04/2015 14:00

Oh, well done Anne - on many levels! Flowers Wine etc

IssyStark · 24/04/2015 14:01

Helen commisserations. I'm sure a chat will nip it in the bud.

IssyStark · 24/04/2015 14:02

IssyStark · 24/04/2015 14:04

Btw, just been invited to Boden Autumn preview!!!??? WTF?

It's not even summer!

Not that that will stop me drooling over cosy clothes (although I CANNOT spend at the mo as already have a wardrobe full of clothes I am too lardy for after the weight gain of the past year)

IssyStark · 24/04/2015 14:06

mouse He DUP so obviously a complete and utter fuckwit. Have signed.

It makes me so ashamed.

Right, now I'll stop the multiple postings.
