No idea fancy!
That's my problem...I have so many areas of interest!
My a levels were English, sociology and history.
OU courses were psychology and history based.
I like the idea of doing a degree but as I say financially it's not viable for me now after the HE fee increase (400% increase in the price of OU courses :()
Sooo...no idea what to do.
I've done voluntary work (admin and child based)
Done OU courses
I dont seem to have a niche...:(

Madame we have family support and we've let our lecturers know so hopefully that'll make things easier.

It would be nice to have a name for whatever toddlers got but the most important thing is that we're getting extra help for him. And he's still the same bonkers little guy we love.

Baddz · 23/04/2015 19:46

I'm pretty good at teaching kids with dyslexia and literacy issues!

I've done so many jobs!
When I was a student I did bar work, hotel work, cleaning, babysitting, I have run a small b n b too!
Loads of customer service experience, worked as an xmas temp at m and s.
Did care work one summer at a nursing home.
Quite a varied cv Smile

Baddz · 23/04/2015 19:48

Exactly!
Any label will just mean he gets the targeted help he needs.
Dh still being a dick but he knows I am pissed off...keeps trying to make me tea.
Well, he can take his tea and shove it up his arse.

BloodyElkFire · 23/04/2015 19:55

Hey Mouse good to have you back! And good that toddlermouse is getting some further input. I'm sure in our neck of the woods they are reluctant to consider any sort of autistic spectrum diagnosis until a child is 4 or 5, it was certainly the case with my nephew who has Aspergers, although DSis had to fight to get him statemented once he was at school.

Returning to work after a 'career break' is a nightmare, you have my sympathies Bads. It's a bit of a disgrace really IMO, as it's invariably women who have been out of the workplace raising a family...but once you've done that, you are apparently unemployable Hmm and Angry

If healthcare is of any interest badders there is an nhs careers website that gives info on entry requirements, training & what funding is available. I only know because I need to get back to work & am having to decide whether to retrain or return to the field I used to work in. (And I'm not making much headway re decision making. Too many variables Blush)

I know everyone says it to mothers thinking of returning to work, but would being a TA appeal?

Baddz · 23/04/2015 20:13

It's not really my thing although I.would like.to.work with kids.with Sen.
It seems that employers think.that once you have had children that's it.
Very frustrating!

FancyFancy · 23/04/2015 20:21

That's why I wondered about being a TA. I have a friend who has gone back to work as a TA providing one-to-one support for a boy with SN.

Baddz · 23/04/2015 20:31

Almost impossible where.I live sadly
Bit depressing really
I.don't qualify for jsa

I was so aghast at Tom I didn't even look properly at Santi.

Sorry, that don't look like a monk to me [groin]

Yes - I've left it in on purpose...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/04/2015 21:22

TB is obviously trying to shake of his more looks obsessed followers... Grin

ChaiseLounger · 23/04/2015 21:25

TB looks rank. Dolokhov only ten times worse. Barely looks like Athos does he? So how are they going to make him look like Athos again?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/04/2015 21:28

Is no-one going to post the piture of Santi on his horse?

Carolina2015 · 23/04/2015 21:28

ApricotCrush · 23/04/2015 21:33

Carolina2015 · 23/04/2015 21:34
