I know why they cant give out antibiotics like sweets any more. But its ds's 6th day of fever and being really really poorly. He must have an infection, no? Yet the gp on tues said his ear wasnt red = no antibiotics. I took him too bloody soon didnt I. Then felt chastened and a silly fussy mummy, so didnt take him in again last week. I really should have taken him yesterday. Now it may be too late to make a difference before xmas and he might be sick all xmas.

What should I do wenches???? Its the bloody weekend now. How do you go about getting antibiotics at the weekend?? Is it possible?

Thing is we're supposed to be going to ils this weekend. 80th birthday so not avoidable. Then mon i was taking him to my mums cos we have to see her solicitor. Not avoidable. I could ask dp to take mon off and take him to gp, but that will = massive row. Urg.

We have the afternoon tea today that ds2 won.
Not in the mood really.
Need to go and take mum to the shops.
Then I might try and have a bath.
Ds1 has a match tomorrow.
Then a football party on Monday night.

Madame...I was thinking of taking ds2 to the gp yesterday but he spent most the day singing jingle bells as opposed to Thursday when he just lay on the sofa all day....

He is very snotty and coughy and as he is asthmatic that does worry me a bit BUT no temp.
My mums had 2 lots of ABs for a chest infection in the last month. She is still snotty and coughing. So I'm holding off until he either gets a temp or more ill.

Madame - that sucks - agree with Badders - 111 for assistance. Poor child is going to need something pretty strong to clear that right up before Xmas but at least if they start antibiotics now, may be mostly free of pain.
