The photographer may not have been paid for the job and is expecting to make up for that by getting orders for copies. If thats the case I can understand why she is doing it but it's unfiar to pressurise pepole into buying prints they don't want.

It's sounds very much like that mrsratty!!! I do expect that she is trying to get some funds in for her time and outlay as she wasn't paid and had expected orders in. But that still doesn't excuse her phoning the parents. She should be dealing with her client who is cm.net. From what I have seen of the pics........and I am also a professional photographer, so qualified to judge.........they weren't particularly good!

I had 21 photo's taken and i only like 3-4 but i love taking photo's so have got better, so i hope she dosnt phone me , where did she get your personal details ? surly she should have had cm's not the parents !

I got an email from UA saying they want to see my dd in november, she has been with KL for a while, but hasnt had anything yet, she is doing the model book in oct but they say still no guarentee's they will take her on, so will keep my options open...does that make sence ?

lindac - how old is your child as some age groups aren't busy?

CM.net must have given the photographer everyones details and thats really unprofessional of them. Unless the parents gave her their details!

My DD is 11 and i have been told as they just went back to school its a quite period, but if i keep the appointment with ua i will know by then if kl are going to keep her on !

At the shoot we had to sign a permission form , they must have gone to the photographer i thought cm was keeping them, so they prob have everyone's details who went ..

Hi saying that....my dd just got her first casting for wendsday for a part in a film with colin firth and jim broadbent, we have to go to twickenham film studios, the directer wants to see her and have an informal chat and to get an idea of her personality(spelt wrong etc), im realy quite excited for her (and my self of course},so fingers crossed etc, i'l let you all know how it goes.
Has anybody else been asked to attend this ?

not related really but dp took me for lunch in our local today (just downstairs next door) and chris martin was in there along with 2 other members of coldplay. dp didn't even realise he'd been sitting beside them for an hour meeting with our mortgage broker!

ds may have tesco job next mon they've just checked availability.

Ellesmum - how did today's shoot go? Did you use the hat in the end?

Still quiet on the jobs front here but have got interview for DD tomorrow with A & J Management, and B&B have asked to see her, but will wait to see what happens with A & J. Not heard from UA yet.

Thank you all, yes she is excited and looking forward to going,at her drama class tonight she saw little chris from rock school (dont ask i havent got a clue)and came home realy hyper !

yes i suppose your dd isn't too bothered about colin firth! very funny. i must admit i was surprised by how handsome he was. not as tall as i thought though. jude law is def more to my taste. yes, we're in camden. dp has also seen robert carlyle in that pub and some footballer. and pete dougherty but that's almost embarrassing! anyway i really hope she gets it, best of luck!

ds has got a casting for littlewoods summer cat on weds at nice studios, in debeauvoir rd, N1 - has anyone been there - is there parking? also what usually happens at littlewood castings. thanks

mysonsmummy......yes we've been there and you can find parking. Although we have always gone by train. They will probably fit on some outfits of clothing and then photograph child in them....that's it!

mysonsmummy, lani had a casting there a while back, i walked so cant advise about parking, but alls she had to do was try on a top and have her photos taken, she did have about a half hour wait, but this might have been just a one off.

hi everyone! im back! got in at about 9.00pm had a very long day but it went fantastic! they were a really nice team and dd was really good, they got about 5 minutes footage of her playing with a camcorder and pretending to film the crew and then she was in the last shot with her fake family! she had a really good time and it was great experience for her. the journey was soo long dont think ill be going that far for a job again it was a bit much but worth it! the advert is going to be out on the 25 october, showing once in between corination street and once in a break in ant and dec show, so will have really good coverage time. its only out for 4 days though its a lead up to a big sale they have going on.

saw the article in practical parinting mag quad, was nice to see a little pic of elle! which one is your lo?

anyway on the train journey to norwich had a call from kids and elle has a casting for littlewoods tomorrow at nice studios! so thats good will be there at 10.30am so might see some of u!

cant believe that photographer has been ringing people! what a cheek!

oh and she didnt wear the hat in the end! she wore a denham dress with pink boots!
