will look out for those ads, sounds good! i watch sky alot so should come across them.

mrsratty · 01/10/2006 18:38

dylansluckymum - Poor cat, at least she's alright now. The magazine DD did was near the end of the summer holiday so olny about 5 weeks ago.

Ragamuffin · 01/10/2006 19:08

liitlemadam.......thought I'd got the right lad! He is a stunning little actor. Even with bog standard sky you should catch DD's advert. It is usually shown on History Channel, Living, Discovery,UK Style those kins of channels. We have also seen it on ITV4. It's been on sceen since about end of May. She is sitting at a kitchen table painting pictures of her family and ancestors. She has a lot of talking to do! I pick up her painting and stick it on the fridge.........maybe appearing for 10 seconds in a 60 second commercial.

marymay .....will look out for that advert now.

Ragamuffin · 01/10/2006 19:12

littlemadam.....forgot to say will definately be watching the Mrs Beaton docu-drama. Well done on getting that one. My DS also cast for this one

littlemadam · 01/10/2006 19:54

Wow Raggamuffin, that sounds really good!! We watch a lot of Discovery, DS loves Mythbusters and How its Made, so will def look out for her, its so nice to see children you know. It sounds as if she had a pretty tough part, you must be really proud!! Does she like photographic or the moving stuff (you can tell we havn't been doing this long, whats it called?) best?

Your DD is with A and J and MOT isn't she, is your DS too. They do loads of ads and TV work don't they?

marymay · 01/10/2006 20:08

ragamuffin..i think ive seen the ad that you and your dd are in but i will look out for it and pay more attention to it.my dd one is shown on the same channels.blink and you will miss us .there is two versions of it .had to laugh, dd was a bit mad with me when it came out in one you can only see dd from the back, her hair is in bunches and she is jumping up and down.but you can see my face .in the other version you see her more clearly.we are standing on the side line cheering with other mums and dads.

Ragamuffin · 01/10/2006 20:09

littlemadam.......Yes DD and DS are both with A&J and MOT. My DD definately prefers the acting and film work to the photographic modelling. But still wouldn't like to stop the photographic as she does enjoy most of these shoots too. We have done a few ads now DD has done 4 and DS has done 3.

littlemadam · 01/10/2006 20:17

Thats fantastic, will look out for them both. Bets of luck for all little ones next week. Off to iron some sports kit now

sha11 · 02/10/2006 10:39

sha11 · 02/10/2006 11:47

ni im waiting for the email, oh is elles unpaid then?

educatingrita · 02/10/2006 12:55

I got my copy of Junior today, mrsratty, is your daughter Francesca??

They are beautiful photo's well done

I just had a phone call at home from the photographer of the London shoot we did for cmnet. She was asking if we had been shown copies of her photo's from there and said she hadnt heard from anyone or received any ordres.
She asked me where Isabel was and I said I didnt know.
Im not sure why she phoned, but I did feel a little pushed into ordering photos which I didnt like. I have loads of great ones from the first shoot that I was very pleased with so I dont really need lots more.

Just thought id say,as she may be phoning around.

Emsky · 02/10/2006 13:02

Hi,
Just posted thread re baby Modelling agencies. Been offered contract for DD by models direct but they want £130 up front Are they any good and is this standard?

Emsky

julie4travel · 02/10/2006 13:19

emsky - there has been bad revues on models direct. look at this site which has stuff on scam agencies etc www.albamodel.info look at the variety of agencies first befre choosing one there is a list on this site www.childmodelling.net try agencies like MOT Bruce and brown and kids london who do not ask for large amounts upfront like other agencies

re cm net photos- i personally think i could have done better in my garden! hence i haven't ordered any. and i am not a photographer! i do think it was my fault though as her hair looked terrible on the pictures so i should have redone it by the time the photographer arrived

littlemadam · 02/10/2006 13:19

Emsky, Models Direct have had a lot of bad press, and I wouldn't recommend them. There are lots of good agencies around. Try www.childmodelling.net for details of quite a few. Where are you based??

sha11 · 02/10/2006 13:24

i got a phonecall from nina as well, it was like 'so are you ordering any'!!!! probably she was assumed that people would want to order???

sha11 · 02/10/2006 13:25

sorry she assumed that..

Emsky · 02/10/2006 13:28

HI,
Thanx for that will stay away. I'm based in Coventry but able to travel... Do you get much work?

mrsratty · 02/10/2006 13:33

educatingrita - Yes thats my DD, thanks.

educatingrita · 02/10/2006 13:39

Sha11, dont you think thats a little rude though?
Its not liked we booked a photographer ourselves because we wanted photo;s of the children.

This was meant to be a job of sorts and lovely as it is to be able to buy prints from a shoot if you want to, its unusual to get the photographer phoning round and putting pressure on people.

I wonder if someone who knows Isabel should let her know Nina is hassling people, as Im sure she wouldnt have condoned that.

littlemadam · 02/10/2006 13:54

Emsky, the best thing IMO is to send details off to quite a few agencies and see which you like the look of. Some do have an upfront charge and some don't. DS is with Bruce and Brown in London which is very good. Look through the threads on here, theres lots of info.
