Ragamuffin · 03/10/2006 15:42

lindac.....St Margarets is a National Rail station. We normally change at Clapham Junction and get a train from there to St Margarets. check out your route on the national rail website www.nationalrail.co.uk ......that's what I normally do. Did you get told a name for the film? Is this casting from CS Management?

mimi1uk · 03/10/2006 16:32

hi guys just thought id let u know i called the people at that mini mr and mini mrs competition, and now he tells me that they are using people that have just applied, caught him out and story has now changed, i tols him that people have applied since he last told me it was shut and now have places??? he then changed his story, basically he is now saying they are offering the places to people where other children have not taken the place up etc,, seems like the list is never ending i thought it was only supposed to be 30 per group, etc seems fishy to me, why say one thing and then change it, !!!! reckon tons of people are not taking them up on the offer, and they need the people there to offer prizes..

lindac · 03/10/2006 17:01

ragamufin Yes it was something like when you last saw your father , no she is with kl not cs, the director saw her through someone else who runs a twin agency( a friend of mine) they contacted me that way, as they was lookinhg for twins but she had none that discription and recommended my dd,i do a lot childrens chaperoning with them at eastenders , holby etc, i have told them she is now with kl,and also told kl so there cool with it just gota see what happens now thank you for the train info x

ellesmum · 03/10/2006 17:10

congrats on the job for your dd lindac, sounds like fun

mrsratty · 03/10/2006 17:14

mimi1uk - The BI comp is a business (they are not doing this out of generousity to other people) and they need to fill their places in order to be able to fund it and offer a good prize, they probably are only going to have 30 in the final comp and without that number they may not be able to run it which is probably why they are still accepting people.

mimi1uk · 03/10/2006 17:20

i hope no one goes and they make no money! lol

sha11 · 03/10/2006 17:21

lindac is that linda at twinagency

lindac · 03/10/2006 17:27

yes it is twinagency or pctheatrical ?

mysonsmummy · 03/10/2006 18:58

i think maybe KL had the littlewoods castings today and UA are there tomorrow.

mary - how old is your ds. what to you tell the school -are you honest?

housemum · 03/10/2006 19:06

Hi all - everything was working like a dream for A&J interview today - DD slept in car on the way, woke up as we got there, we had time for juice and a cookie at a cafe to wake her up - in the waiting area she was laughing and joking - the lady asked her in then she reached for my hand and said "Mummy come in too" What's that about? She'd normally go off with the postman if he said hello! She was in one of her classic playing-me-up moods, because she stood behind me (I was sat on a chair) peeping over my shoulder. I know that's her playing about, but of course to someone who doesn't know her she looks shy. At least she did answer her name and age before clamming up!

Luckily, the lady said that she would send the terms through and they would take her on, but warned me that if she's like that at castings etc etc (I know, I know!!!) She also pointed out that her height could be a problem (she's 3 years old and 102cm tall so nearer to a 4 year old). She said that if she was 4 and acted like she did today she wouldn't have taken her on - I just hope she gets some more work or even castings, it's so long since she's done anything I'm sure she's forgotten how it all used to be.

UA were a definite no for her, B&B are interested. Think I'll ask them the question direct about her height (though they obviously have her height from the application) to see what they say before going to see them. And I'll give NC another kick up the backside to see if they can come up with some work for her.

Quadrofiendia · 03/10/2006 19:18

mrsratty irrespective of whether the BI comp is a business or not, they have changed their story a few times now, mim1uk has phoned them and posted her responses on here. Sounding more and more dodgy to me, wouldn't touch with a bargepole

ellesmum · 03/10/2006 19:24

housemum - i would see how she gets on at castings and jobs, probably just had a bad day, wouldnt worry about it and she is still only young, congrats for her getting in though she is very pretty and looked like she had plenty of confiedence from the farnbough shoot 4 cm net!

mysonsmummy- how old is your lo? i went to the littlewoods casting today my dd is 2 years and 10 months, everyone there was really nice, had to wait around for ages though, but that was because they were expecting dd at 2pm and we got there at 10.30am which was the time kids london told us to be there! there were alot of babies there and everyone who i spoke to los were from kids london, so prob right about urban angels kids going for casting 2morrow.

good luck!

mimi1uk · 03/10/2006 19:29

i do not care whether they are sponsered by alba or what, i think its a joke now personally at first i was not too sure, but i am glad i have done my research etc, becuase i know for sure myself now of what i feel about it, etc, they are not using this competition for what it is meant for, in my eyes now they are raking up the bank account, and preying on loving parents!

Quadrofiendia · 03/10/2006 19:32

I think some may question the loving parent putting kids in a pageant bit

Quadrofiendia · 03/10/2006 19:33

Its a pageant, nothing more, nothing less, i'm sure they are all run like this and are all just as tacky, glad you did your homework mimi good for you

housemum · 03/10/2006 19:47

Quad - thanks for the words of encouragement! i was just thinking to myself actually that anyone who saw her at Farnborough wouldn't have a good impression of her & would wonder why she's in this so nice that you say she looked confident! (On the CM shoot day she had been to see the Fimbles Live & was hyper-excited as we were in the front row, followed by a quick junk-food-fix from MuckDonalds to get us to Farnborough on time, so all in all hyper, over-tired, and pigged out but we got some good pics)

ellismummy · 03/10/2006 19:57

ellesmum, thats so nice that ua contacted you about your dd, she is so wanted!. I e-mailed them after they said they want us to come for a consultation in nov to ask wether i contact them nearer the time , they said they will contact me, so will just wait and see now. Are you staying with kl as elle has done really well?

housemum · 03/10/2006 20:08

Anyone know when the CM new site is likely to be up, or the publicity material out? Would be nice to know which of our LO's are on there.

housemum · 03/10/2006 20:12

OK - ignore my last comment - just saw a posting on CM from Isabel today saying they've decided which photos will be used & they'll be e-mailing the parents.

mysonsmummy · 03/10/2006 20:14

elle - ds is 4 we've been told to get there between 3 and 4pm. wish it was bit later as i have to take him out of school bit early.

ellesmum · 03/10/2006 20:18

ellismummy- no i am staying with kids london as she is doing really well at the moment, i just wanted to see wether urban angels would be interested in her really, was really shocked when they emailed me again asking wether i was going to leave kids!

housemum - the pics from farnbough shoot were lovely of your dd, she looked really relaxed and happy! isabel has said they are going to use one of the pics of elle from farnbough shoot for the new website so cant wait to see it also. she left a message on cm net saying that they have picked all they pics they want for the website and marketing material and will be in touch with parents when isabel comes back from holiday.
