Back to the Blanket....who's up for another Mn blanket?

As discussed by Bundle and myself off-board...who'd like to join us in creating a present for another Mner?
Ought to try and keep it a surprise for the recipient really so CAT me or Bundle if you would like more info.
All offers of help hugely appreciated, as before.

I just CATed you warty - and to the lurker on here who sent me such a pretty violet square with a heart in it (you know who you are ) thank you, it is lovely
Gillian, I forgot to say that a bit over 15cms is fine, we managed all right last time with some very generously proportioned squares! They just get a row to themselves
Thanks all, keep 'em coming!

Hey Mariina, when you cat me, am I supposed to get an email? Haven't got one yet. Should i contact the techy people? Sorry, never CAT'ed or been CAT'ed before...

wartywarthog · 26/08/2006 12:23

Just got it Marina! Not to worry. Thanks

satine · 26/08/2006 16:56

Would someone mind emailing me to let me know where to send my squares, please? Thanks so much!

Pruni, snap - what a pair of wallies
I am sure I do have your mail, but I filed all the names for the last project only under personal names, not Mn handles. So I will mail you. And then the penny will drop
And Satine too, thank you both very much!
I got four lovely squares from littlefish this morning, we now have 12 in total and they already look great together
Man, that fish can knit, as they say. At least I have not been confronted with her knitting supremacy in person MrsJC

I've done some plain squares, but does anyone know where I can find a pattern for a square with a heart in it? It'd have to be basic, as I've only just started knitting!! Thanks for the address, I'll send the ones I've done already!

Marina · 27/08/2006 22:54

satine, if you include your address with the squares you send me, I can send you back the one I "designed" (cough ) on graph paper. I've done a pink heart on a leaf green square and it has worked well. Have also had a successful one where a different stitch outlines a heart.

This is just a knitted product megg. I think you might have it confused with something else on the go (a lot of us are contributing to both projects by the sound of things )
Will confirm receipt of squares as they arrive, ggggrrrr to the Royal Mail for making us go to the PO to post them now.
SueW, I have the Debbie Abrahams original book but rather unwisely started with an immensely fiddly and pretty intarsia baby blanket for dd (now 3, at the time a dot). It is still lurking crossly at the bottom of my stash, unfinished. The only project I have not seen through. And the squares are weeny, otherwise they'd be recycled, trust me!
I would be thrilled if a proper yarn shop opened anywhere near me - in fact Motherpeculiar and I have already spent our inevitable Lottery win on a two-branch (Bromley and E Dulwich) chain of Mumsknitter yarn shops.

What is the other project Marina? .

Can you link to it, or is it top secret? Do they need any knitting help?

LieselVonTrapp · 29/08/2006 10:14

What is the other project? I have knitted three squares for the MN blanket which I will post today.

Marina · 29/08/2006 10:42

I don't want to be too direct as the recipient might spot it but check for threads with Popsycal on and the word personal in the thread title. I think popsy started it.
Not exclusively knitting.

Can i cat you.

Sure Liesel!

Bumper consignment through my letterbox today - beautiful squares safely received from wartywarthog, Miaou...and a Mner whose RL name I can't match to anyone on this thread. So, you know who you are, thank you for the blue square with the little heart in the corner - I don't really want to post your RL name or your postcode here of course
Thanks very much one and all. Wonder what the postie made of the enveloped inscribed "from wartywarthog"

marina I haven't cast on a single stitch. I'm really sorry, but I've accepted that 4 children on school holiday (one teething and NOT SLEEPING grr)is just not conducive to knitting. write me off this time, please, with my apologies xxx

Marina · 30/08/2006 19:03

Not to worry Your Majesty. We will have enough for this project, no problem, and you were very generous last time

OP posts:
Marina · 30/08/2006 19:03

And tell her that's not the sort of thing we Marinas do, hmmph. Hope she is over it soon!

has mine not arrived?

I posted it last week, but it was in an airmail envelope which may have confused them...

Tinker · 30/08/2006 19:05

Aaargh, I've not started either - school hols, house selling and buying and a week away. Will try miss, honest.

MrsBadger · 30/08/2006 19:06

[beats self round head as realises I was the anonymous lurker. Get a grip, MrsB]

Marina · 30/08/2006 19:09

Oh MrsB, do you know, I thought I posted to say it had. I'm so sorry . Yes indeed, and the airmail envelope had dd very intrigued! Thank you very much
No worries Tinker, sounds like you have had your hands full. Hope progress to moving house is going as planned!

OP posts:
Marina · 30/08/2006 19:10

Snort. Well, we've well and truly outed you now MrsB, I've just remembered that post now
