my eldest daughter is on a 3 year contract since Dec 05........she has been in some catalogue work and 1 commercial but it has since gone quiet........she has been put through for things and then it comes through negative so many times........it really is a mine field out their for kiddie models.....one week they will want one look and the next another.........phew.........cant keep up to be honest!!!!!!!!!

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:02

mysonsmummy: agencys can't do that? If that is the case then you could do something about that? I work in advertising and we don't pay invoices until our client has paid us so thats not the agency fault, they won;t pay until theyve been paid. Some clients dont pay us until the final edit is done and that can take more than 4 months. I thought agencys had to pay the kids within so many days of being paid themself by law and BK are a good agency so wouldn't risk that I wouldnt have thought.

I drove my sister to her photo session with them and they were in for a fair bit and really happy when they come out. The photos were lovely and i had them emailed to me at work so i could blow them up for her. Maybe yours was just having a bad day. Kids do that especially if you travelled a way to get there.

Ive got a teenage daughter but never got her into modeling - the wife went straight back to work after having her and we run our own business so notime of all that running around

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:06

hope this is of help, found it on BK website just now for you about payments. Its under the info about modeling. Seems pretty standard stuff so most likely the same with all agencys. I'll have a look for some other agency info and see if they all do the same in a minute.

'We only issue payment upon receipt of client's payments. We must inform you that some clients take up to 6 months to settle their accounts, however invoices from BIZZYKIDZ ask for a 30 day payment and the majority of clients will settle within that time.'

hi ya mysonsmummy i am a nighttime person too i come awake at night but like u i regret it in the morning

mimi1uk · 11/07/2006 01:24

i think mysonsmummy did not get what she was told she was going to get from a job, its easy to say it should not happen , but ot obviously did, and what can be done about it after the event and the photos are used, not a lot i suppose and most parents arent going to get a solictor involved over something like that

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:32

perhaps your right but i cant see an agency like that doing that deliberatey. Maybe she heard them wrong.

cant seem to find anything on the other agencys website terms but BK seem to be the only ones that have parent info like that on the website. The others most likely have it ont heir contracts when you join? It seems pretty standard though in most employment businesses, so model agencys would be the same. Dont think theyve done anything wrong there to be fair. Just had a client draggin their heels with paying and she had to wait a bit, it happens and is normal. Wouldnt worry about it

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:34

mimi, sorry if you answered before but what agencies did you have problems with before and who are you with now?

where did i say i was impressed with them? and I only put a few messages down that it was my nephew, any reason you asking again? sorry, if I am reading something into that that is wrong?

I just saw someone asked about bk so I gave my opinion from what I know. Is that not what this is for? And i was giving advise on the other bit too cause I have experience with accounting. I was actually trying to be helpful....perhps not then

mimi1uk · 11/07/2006 01:41

here here my sons mummy they love deleting peoples files

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:43

if your kiddy was a dream that is most probably why you were in and out. I would be pleased with that not complaining?

mysonsmummy · 11/07/2006 01:44

rupert - who e-mailed them to you at work? the only way you can get copies of them is if you give them more money and they send you a cd with a couple of photos on?

mimi1uk · 11/07/2006 01:44

just what ever my sons mummy said it was like she had got it wrong and that such a agency such as bk would not do such a thing,,

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:44

mimi, werent you the lady on here months ago that was only with bk a few days and got a job straight away. or was that someone else?

mimi1uk · 11/07/2006 01:45

well obviously not as the photots were rubbish and they used pictures that a mum had taken not the photographer as they was better i would be complaining too

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:46

my sister paid to have them emailed which was cheaper than a cd and she forwared them to me cause we have a3 printing in the office so did them large for her

Toby72 · 11/07/2006 01:46

mimi1uk · 11/07/2006 01:46

mimi1uk · 11/07/2006 01:47

toby72- are u joking??

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 01:48

the pictures were for their book not the website i thought. What is all this going on on this forum? Mimi, answer me please, it was you that got a job just as you joined wasnt it?

mysonsmummy · 11/07/2006 01:49

mimi - we just crossed. i did feel bit like that rupert - everything ive said about them is the truth. also did you think me son went in on his own to have photos taken im a bit taken back by you saying he might have been having a bad day - like it was him and not them having a bad day. they wanted to get home and were rushing us in and out as quick as they could. after travelling so far it was really dispointing as they said its like a real shoot - time to ask questions etc = what a load of crap that was. there was kids everywhere but like a conveyor belt really.

Toby72 · 11/07/2006 01:49
