mrratty · 23/07/2006 10:10

strawberrymilkshake - ust out of interest does your DD get really tired with all of the activites she does after school. I'm asking because DD has had a really manic couple of weeks with castings/jobs and they have really exhausted her.

ellesmum · 23/07/2006 10:20

do u need a licsence with kids london?

by the way the argument on here last night was so funny! sorry had to say that!

and id just like to say im quite new on here and everyone has been so helpful and welcoming i dont know what id have done if i didnt come across this site, i think its so important to get opinions good or bad on agencies to make the right decision on which agency 2 go with.

strawberrymilkshake · 23/07/2006 10:40

mrratty >> My dd never seems to tire, i think she is a bit hypo, but when i think enough is enough or jade dosnt want to go, she dosnt go, but she is a very dedicated child and she does love all that she does and i do not push her at all, there would be no point, and what a waste of money if she didnt enjoy it. Sometimes i say have a night off and she goes mad at me saying im not having a night off, my dd knows what she wants.lol

strawberrymilkshake · 23/07/2006 10:41

I think you have to have a license who ever you work for.

misdee · 23/07/2006 10:41

ellesmum, all children need aq liscence.

marymay · 23/07/2006 10:43

ellesmum · 23/07/2006 10:47

do u need to get the license or does the agency do it on your behalf?

strawberrymilkshake · 23/07/2006 10:48

You just have to give them a doctors letter, copy of birth certificate, name of local council and school which they attend and then they do it.

ellesmum · 23/07/2006 10:53

oh thats ok then

lanismum · 23/07/2006 11:04

with ua they only need a licence for tv work, not photographic.

strawberrymilkshake · 23/07/2006 11:53

I think they are all like that bk needs licence for tv works

mimi1uk · 23/07/2006 12:26

perfumelady · 23/07/2006 12:37

mimi must admit it makes fantastic bed time reading money couldn't buy it. why are you apologising you were just stating your point of view nothing to be sorry about if anything i'm the one thats sorry for ever mentioning that i saw you know who at castings.

julie4travel · 23/07/2006 14:16

strawb- bless you, bet you are shocked and pretty fed up. Hope noone was injured

currently in between 2 kids parties (again) seems every weekend is parties at present!

thomp · 23/07/2006 14:16

sorry to bring this up, but ive been looking back on these threads and right back to when mimi first joined in the conversations. Mimi dont you remember coming on here to tell everyone you had just joined bk and got a casting the first day? You were accused of working for them and you were shouting and using all sorts of language yourself and calling everyone paranoid etc. Why did you do the very same thing to that woman last night? It was appalling and unforgivable the way you treated her.

also i thought licences were a legal thing and had to be done for tv and photographic, so how come ua get away with not doing them?

julie4travel · 23/07/2006 14:22

i know my son had to have a licence for photos yet his was for stills so it was compulsary

lanismum · 23/07/2006 14:31

i think last night just got out of hand as this thread usually does, it was all very silly, and i dont think it should be all brought up again, just an idea!
as for the licence, iv no idea why they dont need one for photographic work, but i dont think its just ua that work this way? correct me if im wrong people

thomp · 23/07/2006 14:31

hi Julie
on the council websites it says all kids from 0 -16 must have a licence for photographic work if they are getting paid so don't understand how ua say you dont need one and someone also said the same for mot

julie4travel · 23/07/2006 15:33

thomp - thats strange! maybe some agencies don't think of it as important as others. I would have thought UA would stick to the legal requirements thought, who knows how they all work! I don't understand it

Yes less said about last nights conversations the better! lets stick to modelling!

ellesmum · 23/07/2006 16:15

just one last point i have to make about last night, i dont care what anyone says,
Tobleronechoc was way out of order saying that she felt sorry for mimi1uk s children, how low is that? she had no right bringing that into the argument. all im gonna say
