Do you need a licence for modelling jobs too? MOT dont bother which is very handy but I was wondering if other agencies like B+B or KL did make you get a licence.

Most of the jobs my DD has had with MOT have been such short notice with no casting that I dont think she would have got one in time and I think thats the way they work but I have often wondered if its is just this agency?

tinkerbellchelle · 20/07/2006 22:31

julie4travel · 20/07/2006 22:50

i am still here- change of heart going to bed. My dd had to get his licence with Scallywags apparently its up to the company doing the casting if people have to have one or not as its their responsibility (thats what i was told by scallywags anyway last year as i thought it was strange)

mimi1uk · 20/07/2006 22:57

dont think i have got one???

mimi1uk · 20/07/2006 22:58

good 4 u julie i am bored listing on ebay and need mumsnet to keep me sane

julie4travel · 20/07/2006 23:01

more like insane ha ha!

Well me being boring just done my expenses for 2005/2006 , its a job been on my to do list for a long time though!

mimi- how longs it take you on the train to jobs then?

mimi1uk · 20/07/2006 23:04

about 55 mins to fenchurch st which is a 10 min walk to liverpool st,

julie4travel · 20/07/2006 23:06

yours is quite a distance then. If i get the fast train its 38mins from huntindon to kings x and however long on the underground. today was good as got off at leicester sq yet ts on sat was a trek for the four of us! we didn't take a buggy for my dd we let her walk! they both moaned a bit

mimi1uk · 20/07/2006 23:08

bless them have u got any idea what u r gonna do, r u gonna re apply before going with ts????????????

julie4travel · 20/07/2006 23:12

my dd i will def put with ts as she not with casting agency so no probs with her. I have re submitted to b and b, you never know with different pictures? or am i being wishful thinking? nc said they would get him on books straight away so would be very easy , where as ts is 01 jan and another £170 . NC are a bit cheaper than TS so that swings it a bit plus are easier to get to for me. if i can get b and b i will snap it up!

julie4travel · 20/07/2006 23:15

right now going to bed speak later mimi

mimi1uk · 20/07/2006 23:19

why not try kids again, ???????? well good luck and good nite xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

mysonsmummy · 21/07/2006 00:00

julie - could you help me. sorry not about modelling. want to take ds away in 6 wks holiday only way i can afford it is he starts getting some bloody work - (no only joking!!!!) is if we go allocation on arrival. i have always said i would never do it in case i ended up on top of an all nite disco. do the big companies take anything like having kids with you into consideration or are you really put anywhere? thanks

julie4travel · 21/07/2006 07:35

mysonsmummy- really the tour operators don't pay anything into consideration when booking an allocated on arrival. Its very risky i must admit! I booked some 65 year olds who actually wanted a busy resort so they were hoping the rep wouldn't look at their ages and allocate them in a quiet resort.

if its in the school holidays the prices get more expensive nearer the time especially the week of teh 7th and 14th, i struggle with availability for that week every single wyear. Its even worse than christmas week! There is some reasonable priced named Turksih holiday and Greek ones, the night flights are always the cheapest though. If you do want me to have a look you can email me. Strawb struggled with one of my email address's the other day so u could try this one [email protected] (that should go through)

lindac · 21/07/2006 09:08

perfumelady-what a lovly idea im sure your dd will love we had a bbq in the school last night just for year 6 and family

can anyone tell me is bubblegum sole rep ?
gona be hot again today

ellesmum · 21/07/2006 09:19

hello everyone, bubblegum is not sole rep and it is also free to join. good luck

lindac · 21/07/2006 09:22

thanks i looked at the website but its under construction they said they are sending me out a registration pack

ellesmum · 21/07/2006 09:30

the owner of bubblegum told me they were in the middle of moving offices at the moment so everything will take a bit longer, ive been waiting for their regestration pack for almost 2 weeks now, so dont be alarmed if they dont get 2 u quickly, i was going to go with bubblegum but then my daughter had a yes from kids london im now going with them. bubblegum are a good agency though.
