sorry im so dumb, misdee, x

housemum · 14/07/2006 23:49

Perfumelady - where do you get your insider info from? My dd is age 3 & in the right height bracket - we've had nothing for ages from her agency? And I keep an eye on mandy.com but have heard nothing. I haven't checked notapushymum as I thought it had had to close down - I'm sure the site owner sent an e-mail round saying that it was closed, or I might be getting confused.

Hope you don't mind my asking

housemum · 14/07/2006 23:53

Ok - I think I'm getting confused - is 3-4 foot thing the one for over 5's, no upper age? I see that NAPM is still going. Too much red wine I think...

julie4travel · 15/07/2006 08:45

perfume- have dropped you an email last night

housemum- Yes I saw that one on NAPM yet not a member with Star now to apply. I wonder if thats the same one?

Anyway off to TS today and getting the train in an hour or so as going to a few sites with the kids first

Good luck for any auditions today

strawberrymilkshake · 15/07/2006 09:09

Rupert>>thanks for info, dosnt sound to clever really does it.

Julie >> good luck for lo today

Good Luck to everyone with castings etc.

AllieBongo · 15/07/2006 09:11

yackertyyack · 15/07/2006 09:14

Hey morning aliie......how the devil are you - haven't heard from you in ages! Hope the new house is good? Is tescos a straight job for you?? Congrats to your little man!

julie4travel · 15/07/2006 09:39

thanks strawb- starting to think if its worth taking both kids as they have been fighting this morning. we haven't ever took my dd before to a shoot or assesment. The only thing she is been to was when Ryan had his cs photos and was fine. Hope she doesn't go shy either as she is normally so confident. Still don't think they will take herand just want him yet who knows! did you email perfume? i haven't heard back from her yet

AllieBongo · 15/07/2006 09:45

hello yackerty! not a booking as yet. just put him forward. he will have lost a tooth by time they do the job next thurs though if he gets it! How are you and yours x x x it's so nice and fluffy on here again

educatingrita · 15/07/2006 09:52

Rupert - I agree with your points about purelyparty but she has listed some valid auditions that shes had already so they are in effect her clients?
She put kids up for Les Mis week before last and now says she has contact for a film which needs a 12 year old girl.
Does this not mena she does have clients and can get work? she is certainly causing a stir and I dont know what to think as she seems so NICE!

If anyone knows a contact e-mail for the under 4' thingy please post it as I have a 7 year old who fits......

Have a nice day x

yackertyyack · 15/07/2006 09:55

Allie - We are all good thanks, should be having my new baby on monday as they are taking me in sunday night!!! Fingers crossed for your little fella am sure that the casting companies are used to lost teeth! How is DD?? Agree that it is still fluffy wuffy here.......almost scarily so!!!!!

AllieBongo · 15/07/2006 10:20

ha ha! Bet you're fed up waiting now, at least yo have something to look forward to. Will be thinkingof you hun! Do you know what you're having?

lanismum · 15/07/2006 11:57

allie, fingers crossed he gets the job, think kids with missing teeth look really cute so hopefully tescos do too!
yackerty, will be thinking of you tomorrow night, hope everything goes to plan and you have a nice straight forward birth, cant wait to hear if its a girl or boy, oh, and make sure you get back on her to let us all know quickly

AllieBongo · 15/07/2006 11:58

hiya lanis. i know i shouldn't ask without the firing squad attacking, but is IR ok?

lanismum · 15/07/2006 12:01

yep, very good, saw yesterday, in very good spirits the wee one is apparently huge too

AllieBongo · 15/07/2006 12:09

lanismum · 15/07/2006 12:12

perfumelady · 15/07/2006 12:24

yackerty i can't beleive how quickly that has come round, good luck, can't wait to hear your news.

strawberry and julie4travel have emailed you

housemum i get a lot from napm, also from starnow tobeonscreen, from googling auditions, casting directors etc bbc and itv websites sometimes list new commissions and they sometimes name the production company or casting director then i apply direct with a cv. also the stage sometimes lists auditions have also sent off cv just on the off chance to casting directors.

educatingrita you have to apply through starnow details are on napm, it sounds like a really big film. it def' is through a well known casting agency.

housemum · 15/07/2006 17:14

Thanks perfumelady - actually, I misread the ages so dd is too young at 3, but have managed to land myself a part as an extra in a commercial being shot in Basingstoke next week!! (It's on starnow if anyone else interested - ages 18-65 required - listing says "urgent extras needed for commercial")

julie4travel · 15/07/2006 20:04

only brief email- have just returned really tired. long day with my los. both accepted by ts. was a group session (more like a play group ) photo session not till oct and on books from 01 jan. fees are high so will need to chew it all over. I am hoping my dd gets work from cs in the meantime. may sign my dd up straight away to spread the money a bit. Will know more after weekend

Hope everyone has enjoyed the lovely weather today

mysonsmummy · 15/07/2006 20:15

well done hosuemum - how much do you get paid?

lani - tell her i send my love. she was so kind to me. i really wanted to e-mail her to say hi - think i will now.

julie - how high are the fees?

housemum · 15/07/2006 20:55

£75 cash at the end of the session. Drawback is that the official time is 7.30pm to 6am though if they finish sooner that's great. It's fine for me, as I have no pre-school or anything the next day, so if dd has a day slobbing in front of the videos well it won't harm.

julie4travel · 15/07/2006 21:15

Hi all

Truly Scrumptious fees are as follows:
Babies up to 23 months £120
Children and Teens £170

Photo session fee £80 per child
family £120 for 2 children or £140 for 3

You get in the 2007 model book, website subscription a copy of the model book (which i thought was nice!) and a receipts book for jobs (we didn't have that with Scallywags)

The session was informal kids just really played, you fill out the statistic forms and them talk about themselves and you look at example magazines which have their children in. They didn't really get up close with the kids. Totally different to Norrie Carr and CS Managements one on one interviews where they really get to see what the kids are like.

They are doing some more interviews over next few weeks and photoshoot is Oct half term ready for them to be in teh book and start being represented by them on the 1st Jan.

mimi1uk · 15/07/2006 21:57

well done julie4travel x ur kidies r truely scrumptious x

julie4travel · 15/07/2006 22:04

thanks mimi

right have just done 3 months with star now to see how it goes at 15 pounds. Have applied my ds for the over 3ft job now. I should have nosed at my dds height to see if she fits the criteria actually. I struggle converting dimensions etc

mim- did you see ryan has a casting on thurs so fingers crossed as his first one with CS!
