Hi

OP posts:
2ManyPimms · 11/07/2006 21:40

Thorntons - I was thinking about doing that but I don't want to be a pest. I left DS's details before going off to the hospital so I think that they are going to send us some snaps. It's been a while but who knows?!

Rupert - Different counties handle things differently - different heads of schools do too. Fortunately, DS's headmistress had a son who acted so she is on top of things. I know of others who will not authorise a day to model if you begged them. Just one of those things, I guess.

rupertbear · 11/07/2006 21:48

you know you get those parents that are really pushy, it wouldnt be a bad idea to find out what council is the best one for that and then move to that area to increase your chances!! I thought things like that were a government law or something, so why dont they all have the same rules. Thats not fare on the kids is it. especially if they get a job and then cant do it cause of the school they go to.

thorntons · 11/07/2006 21:50

2manypimms,If I were you I would definitely send them a nice email. I am sure they wont mind especially considering what happened, and I bet they were very relieved you didnt sue! I have emailed several times re different things including usage and B and B have always replied very quickly and efficiently.

mysonsmummy · 11/07/2006 21:58

pimms - what happened? if you dont mind me asking

julie4travel · 11/07/2006 22:11

housemum- thats a shame. My ds has just turned 6. I haven't applied for my dd as she doesn't turn threee till next month.

we recently moved and old council were fine with licences and the school was fine. Our new area the headmistress totally different. we can have time of for modelling yet its classed as unauthorised absence not authorised liked his old school. Even holidays can be put down as unauthorised. I haven't a clue how many unauthorised days we are allowed before something happens. Hopefully a lot of jobs will be holidays and weekends! She says

julie4travel · 11/07/2006 22:12

housemum- sorry forgot to say their site is being updated (someone previoulsy mentioned it hadn't been updated for a year or so) hopefully tommorow loads more kids of all ages will be on their.

YummyMummy21 · 11/07/2006 22:22

We were given a slot between 12:30-1:30 but think that i'll aim to get there for 12:30, then I can bribe DD with FOOD and she wont be full from her lunch as she usually doesnt have it till 1 ish.

HeHe xxx

2ManyPimms · 11/07/2006 22:23

Thorntons - I think I will. Tomorrow - when I am feeling a bit brighter.

Mysons - DS stepped off a wooden box he was standing on for the shoot and it slipped back suddenly (there wasn't any sort of non-slip stuff on the bottom) and he went down and twacked his temple open on another box.

Sounds like it is all go for jobs these days! Wonder how busy it will be in the summer!

mysonsmummy · 11/07/2006 22:33
