I'm hooked right bitch fight going on here!

SaintGeorge · 22/04/2005 18:37

Hope you aren't calling me a bitch astonished - IMO I asked a perfectly reasonable question.

florenceflying · 22/04/2005 18:37

I just went for my baby dinner and bath and I am back.
I have nothing to do with cod but I could not reply s I had to go away

astonished · 22/04/2005 18:38

Not at all Saint George, more refering to the earlier stuff between Florenceflying and someone else, really quite mad and personal.

florenceflying · 22/04/2005 18:41

astonished read thestart of the thread and you will understand.

it has become mad and personalI agree and it is time to stop it

SaintGeorge · 22/04/2005 18:43

S'okay then astonished, bit of a paranoia moment there

I know the stuff you mean, that's why I keep lurking and reading - just couldn't resist finally popping my head up and posting.

utopia - no it doesn't matter, I just think you're all mad. You find a site like Mumsnet, by whatever means, and yet you stick to one conversation. Just doesn't make sense to me that's all.

astonished · 22/04/2005 18:45

Florenceflying, I have read the start of the thread and the middle and the end and have watched this unfold with interest. Finding it hard to take you seriously, sorry.

utopia2004 · 23/04/2005 09:59

I just explained my reason, so im not going in to it again! thankyou i find this thread helpfull in the begging and now its just amusing.

astonished: Im not sure what you mean by ff? care t elaberate

snafu · 23/04/2005 10:10

I think this thread is hilarious.

But, ahem, some posts are obviously not in keeping with MN philosophy. Keep it pink and fluffy, ladies.

missevs · 24/04/2005 15:01

ro, we're looking into putting our daughter into an agency truly scrumptious was one we were going to apply for so would you not recommend it?

florenceflying · 24/04/2005 17:03

Sorry cannot say I have never dealt with them

mrratty · 25/04/2005 17:01

hello there,
my 2 daughters have been accepted by, childsplay, bizzykidz, little acorns and norrie carr. who should I go with, the fees are not a corncern just which agency will represent them best. please help me decide.
i did post this a few days ago but had no response as people were to busy arguing.

hellomama · 03/05/2005 19:50

My ds has his first casting session with Marks and Spencers on Friday. I was wondering how long this normally takes? I've been told the casting will be at 10.30am but I'm off on holiday (loooooong overdue!) in the afternoon. I need to be away by 12pm at the latest. Is this do-able? Or should i just cancel?

trace2 · 03/05/2005 21:35

who you with? is it a casting where he gets paid or just to be picked out of more kids.

JBMUM · 04/05/2005 00:40

cant help thinking florence flying, that if this is the way you spoke to your agency then.........well.....need I say more really??

florenceflying · 05/05/2005 08:33

JBMUM I just copy this words from one of your first postings against me. Now let people judge who is the rude one here. "Maidoftheriver has obviously not read the posting from the iliterate florence flying, to have responded with her reply. If I owned Bizzykidz, then I would want to reply on here! Good on whoever took the time to reply and if I were them I would take the silly woman to court. Her English is clearly as poor as her knowledge of British Law. To say you have proof of something (or prove in her words!) and also accuse someone of something in this manner, is slanderous to an extent and if Bizzykidz read this posting, my advice would be to get your solicitors to obtain the contact details of the woman and take her to court."

florenceflying · 05/05/2005 08:41

Or let's try another of your postings maybe:" Why don't you put your efforts into something more constructive...like....saving the mushroom ! ! "

florenceflying · 05/05/2005 08:43

This are all your quotes, if you treat me like this and you do not know me I wonder what kind of education you had in your life and what example you give your kids. Well say no more !

Kidstrack2 · 05/05/2005 09:19

I think this conversation has got way out of hand and getting very personal too! Lets just agree to disagree that some of us have been ripped off by model agencies and some of us have really good expierences! Its worth trying several rep companies before you decide to go on thier books. I only put my last comment in as I felt I had been lied to by the company. They said they didn't have many babies on thier books and that my dd would get loads of work if we travelled to Edinburgh. But as I started talking with other mums about model agencies it became apparent that this company had many babies on thier books and they had not got any model assignments for thier baby either, this to me was lying! I have however found another local company who only take on a few babies and toddlers each year so they get the chance of some assignments!

florenceflying · 05/05/2005 12:27

You are perfectly right and as I said last time I do not want to continue talking about it.
JB mum and mum007 keep on bringing it up and I am tired of it as I am 40 and not 6

magnolia1 · 05/05/2005 12:43

Florence flying: Could you possibly email me? I have been let down by Bizzykids also and if you wouldn't mind would like to know what agency you have found?

Thanks
Mechelle xx

I have read these postings for some time and notice that it is quite a British thing to complain about things but people do not seem to be very forthcoming when things go right. I have been watching these messages for entertainment value to be honest and some of them really cheered me up on occasions. I couldn't wait to see what some people were replying with, every time I switched my pc on. It was quite funny really and a nice break from nappies and calpol. Anyway, i would now like to join in and add some points to address certain factors, being as I have first hand experience in the matter. My 2 kids have both been with Bizzykidz for almost 4 years now and, although there have been times when it has been quieter than others, we have had a steady amount of work throughout those years and, being as we only paid the one payment for life, we have earned that payment back many, many times. I agree that it can be hard for anyone in this industry, especially now, as when my first daughter started, almost 12 years ago, there were only a couple of agencies to choose from. Now, however, there are loads to choose from, so not only do parents have difficulty in choosing an agency, the clients must do too. After all, there is only so much work about isn't there?

If anyone has a problem with any agency, they should really address it to the agency concerned, I would have thought.

Florence Flying - just a word of advice (and this is not meant for you to attack me back), surely it is not healthy for you to be so aggressive? So, you have not had work with the agency - that doesn't mean they have nicked your money does it? They can't guarantee you anything, infact, they want the commission as much as you want the work, so it works both ways. If you have found another agency that has found you work, then perhaps they have different clients that look for what your child has to offer? Who knows? All I know is that Bizzykidz are certainly not short of work by any stretch of the imagination. One of my daughters did a shoot for Lambeth Council in the week and they shot for 2 whole days. They used a total of 15 kids for the campaign and ALL were from Bizzykidz and no other agency took part at all. To have 15 kids working in one week is most likely a good achievement for any agency.

My experiences have been good with this agency and I have a friend that was with Elisabeth Smith and got nothing (after paying a huge amount of money - yet they are one of the best agencies?). This goes to show that the industry can be hard, don't expect to earn a fortune out of it, don't moan if you don't get work (as long as you know the company is bone fide of course), and make a life outside of the career; so when you do get work it is a bonus.

Best wishes to everyone!!
