Beetroot · 09/06/2006 09:21

but i cannot spell it!!!!

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 09/06/2006 09:22

I like that too. Envy I wish I'd thought of it!

hunkermunker · 09/06/2006 09:22

dramalizard then, Beety!

morningpaper · 09/06/2006 09:23

yes I like dramachameleon

it's very memorable

and com and co.uk are available which is surprising I think

I see from the emply a mumsnetter ads that MrsBadger is a graphic designer who does logos etc

she could whip you up a cute chameleon

Bob's your uncle

morningpaper · 09/06/2006 09:25

hmmmmmm a brief search shows that there are a few theatre groups called Drama Chameleon but no one has registered the domains

morningpaper · 09/06/2006 09:26

Actually no I'm wrong, there is a drama group called Chameleon but that seems to be all

not actually drama chameleon

hub2dee · 09/06/2006 09:51

Hmmm... not sure on the lizard. I think (1) it's tricky to spell / type fast (2) it's a clever word play but 'so what'. I think possibly more obvious / descriptive names would be better (just MHO).

Re: the core proposition... isn't this what any listings-type site would do (albeit, perhaps at a more local level ?)

zippitippitoes · 09/06/2006 09:53

I think the daram for schools type names are instantly forgettable, I would go for something memorable as the vast majority of good advertising is word of mouth and people don't always have a computer bookmark in fron of them

morningpaper · 09/06/2006 10:13

hub2dee you are clearly jealous of my superior suggestion

I'm sure that teachers can spell chameleon

It's only tricky for you because it's not car-related

The problem with descriptive names is that it's hard to develop a branding because all the descriptive ones blur into ones

e.g. rightmove / movehome / homes4u / findaproperty / houseweb

one that IS easy to remmeber is fish4homes though - the animal gives it memorable branding

hub2dee · 09/06/2006 12:11

I can't be jealous because I made no suggestion.

Beety mistyped it.

It is car-related. Everyone knows minicab drivers are chameleon-derived species from outer space. They even made a film about a few years back, didn't they... all those forked tongue creatures...

Elephant car insurance is clever, innit. That's why they had to spend a kazillion to get us to remember them.

If there is a dramatic / search based word-play related to the word 'chameleon', I might agree, but I'm just not sure. At the same time, I'd like to be the first to congratulate Beety if she builds a massive brand and cashes out in three years a very rich drama queen.

hub2dee · 09/06/2006 12:12

Oh, and I have seen the karma word play. FWIW. Like. Whatever.

Beetroot · 09/06/2006 15:32

hub,

i misspell most things!!

No this is not what most listing type sites do. This is aimed directly at schools to give them inside information on what is going on. If you want to find out where As you like it is being performed, for example, yo have to do alot of trawling, then you have to check out if the company is any good, what they have done in the past. Then if you want to book an after show talk you have to have someone in the know or ope that they will get back to you.

Then if you want ot find someone who does Romans/dramam type stuff for primary schools you will have the same sort of problem. trawling!

Drama Drama Dramachameleon

yes I do worry about it being hard to spell Wink

zippitippitoes · 09/06/2006 15:38

How will you make money from the site?

JanH · 09/06/2006 15:39

And beety's mission in life is to ensure that children only ever see GOOD THEATRE, and not some of the crap they get tossed.
